@Tharmáras Bring her on in! The more the merrier, she might be the one tending the garden where the caper is taking place, or maybe she can be the inside man (elf?), either way we'd be happy to have you!

@Fuin Elda raccoons and capers are like peanut butter and jelly! Just make sure you're trio of doofs are nice to Osa!

I'm just going to put this here for posterity, so we can mark the momentous occasion when Fleeg was used as an adjective expletive  It has absolutely nothing to do with me dissolving into a fit of giggles. Nope, no sir. We don't have that in this household

I've been pretty upset this weekend, especially yesterday, so I needed to blow off some steam and vent through cute little Rondo @Nessa Saelind . I'm most likely to abuse "fleeging" as an adjective expletive as well as "fleeg" as a disparaging noun and vulgar verb in honor of @The King in Yellow often in the days to come. Mostly used by Rondo, Beren, Aigronding, Hatholdir, Ann, Elmarya, and even Galdor of the Tree. I'm glad it made you laugh, makes me feel a little better.

I sent in my nomination for Member of the Month just a few moments ago! Not sure how to get everyone else in Imladris aboard since there's only a few of us RP'ing here in the forum who bear the kingdom flower and most of them I don't talk to much unfortunately.

Hello everyone, I hope you are fine. I'm sorry for my absence the past months, I just went through a super extreme exam phase :brickwall:
However, I'm definitely back now, but I've got two questions:

1. Are the rules about rp as a canon character still the same (meaning, am I able to post as Legolas or other LotR characters if the specific rp thread doesn't forbid it)?

2. Why is the Lindon Masquerade closed, now I didn't get the chance to let Legolas talk to Arwen

1. Yes the rules are still the same.

2. Because threads do have an end date and Annu ended it. Don't worry there are more Masquerades planned so you'll get to talk to Arwen again eventually at a ball!

Yes, what Fuin said, @Legolas ! I'll update all the OPs of my activities/threads currently so it's known which canons I'm playing. I'll see you in the Last Homely House! I'm returning to Imladris updates this week; I've been getting some of my Mortal NPCs grounded in the Gondor Forum recently.

Thanks for the new day cue at Osdolen, @Moriel ! I have thought of what to do with that for months, slowly coming to grips with our few Ranger numbers on New Plaza. Now I'll begin a new Osdolen arc there I've had in planning. Cassie and I will see you in Paths soon! 😘

@Fuin Elda and @Tharmáras thanks for your replies

@Tharmáras I posted in the last homely house thread a while ago and just edited it again (I kind of misunderstood something ^^). Basically Legolas is in need of a room, so would you want me to make another post and have him approach Erestor or do you want to make Erestor approach Legolas?

Aww I am so sorry @Legolas, but it is as @Fuin Elda said - all good things must come to an end. I would love to see you post as Legolas in the upcoming Rivendell Masquerade RP I intend to launch in a few weeks though and I sincerely hope you will.

Would you like to have the Prince of Mirkwood speak with Arwen in The Last Homely House thread? I was given permission from @Tharmáras to post as the Evenstar. Arwen and Elrond are currently on their way back right now from visiting the local orphanage but should be arriving soon to join everybody there.

You and I can also post some flashbacks to their conversation during the events of the Lindon Masquerade in another thread, if you are interested. We can post for an after Lindon Masquerade interaction in the Mithlond Free RP thread too. Maybe have both the Prince and the Princess visiting the local seafront shops and speaking with some of the locals?

Let me know any thoughts or suggestions you might have. :smooch:

Hey, @Annúnfalas Firstly, yeah, I would definitely like to post in the Rivendell Masquerade RP as Legolas and sure! Let's have Arwen and Legolas conversate and perhaps even feast with Elrond in his hall  . We could then perhaps also integrate the topic of Isildur's heir into the conversation at the table, before we have Arwen and Legolas take off and talk on in private.

Secondly, a real conversation 'never happened' at the ball but we can definitely act like it did and have them visit the local seafront shops and speak with the locals as an after-interaction. That's actually a really nice idea too  .

Furthermore, I came accross this comment on https://www.quora.com/What-was-the-rela ... nd-Legolas, which I thought is a quite interesting point concerning the relationship between Arwen and Legolas:
As others point out, there is probably no relationship (between Legolas and Arwen) at all until after the fall of Sauron and the restoration of the kingship in Gondor. Arwen probably got to know Legolas as her husband’s friend and as the leader of the Elven colony in Ithilien. As Mary Tower points out, it is possible that they are distantly related, but it’s nowhere stated.

It seems to me unlikely that they were acquainted prior to the events of LotR. Legolas is clearly not a great traveler. He has never visited Lothlorien, at least not since the mallorns were planted, so he couldn’t have met Arwen during one of her visits there. There’s no indication that he has spent much time visiting Rivendell either. Dialogue in RotK, “The Passing of the Grey Company” suggests that he had never met Elladan and Elrohir (despite the popular fan-fiction notion that Legolas and the twins are buddies.) The fan-fiction notion that Legolas and Arwen had a “thing” is entirely unsupported.
Since the Plaza-RP is basically fan fiction, I actually thought about the possibility to have them meet in Lothlorien or Mirkwood in the furture. Basically I'm just wondering about how canon orriented I can stay concerning the RP with Legolas - for example in relation to him not being a great traveler in canon.

I've given @Annúnfalas permission to play Arwen in all my Imladris threads because she's amazing with her and for continuity's sake :smooch: . I'm borrowing Arwen for Gondor forum because my NPC Airien is her handmaiden (or lady-in-waiting there) but I'll have Airien interact with Annúnfalas's take on Arwen for continuity between both forums  .

I cannot afford to miss the opportunitiy of having Aragorn present because Arwen is in LHH now and @Legolas as well. Aragorn travels frequently we know. How about he already knows Legolas but he's an aquaitance by this point?

Wonderful @Legolas!

@Tharmáras will bring in Aragorn soon to The Last Homely House, but a private conversation between Arwen and Legolas can definitely happen at one point in that thread. Arwen knows how dangerous things are becoming in the wilds and will definitely want to discuss recent happenings with the Prince of Mirkwood.

Yes, we can definitely acknowledge their 'conversation' at the Lindon Masquerade in-character, even though it never actually occurred, and I am glad that you are all for having both Elven nobles get to know the Grey Havens. It is the last place their people stay before sailing west after all.

As far as canon goes, Arwen was known to frequent Lothlórien to visit her deceased mother's people there, and there is a Free RP thread for this location. We can plan a meeting there as well.

I need to post a nice, big update for Tham-en-Gaearon, the Elven court thread here in the Imladris board but I will be certain to turn my attention to Legolas-Arwen matters right after. You can wait for me to post first in the Mithlond Free RP thread, or you can have Legolas walking around before coming across Arwen there if you would like.

Either way, I am glad we will have them interact.

Before I go back to burying my head in my current reading material I suppose the right and honourable thing would be to keep my word

@Annúnfalas if the position for Lord Círdan's court physician (or apprentice to said physician, we're humble humans here :winkkiss: ) is still open I'd like to formally apply for that position with my NPC Aléxandros al-Samarkandi. (who is currently trying very hard to reach the stone quay in Forlond but his author got stuck in Pelargir because things happened...). I don't know if he/I/we make it in time for the cruise, I don't want to promise things I don't know if I can fulfil or hold the thing up, but he'll reach Lindon eventually. Apparently, after many detours

Oh and if I may, a side question: is it possible to use location banners created for the Ages of Arda outside Ages of Arda?

Thanks in advance for everything :smooch: now I'm going to go bury my head in the book and hopefully finish it tonight. That would be really lovely. ^_^

Please feel free to use any location banners in the Ages of Arda: Icons and Banners 2 entry. They are for everybody's use, within the Ages of Arda RPG itself and in any other threads.

@Moriel - regarding the banners I was just interested in borrowing one (ok maybe more than one, depending on how things fall  ) of them from the post that I linked. I know others made more banners and, of course, I would ask if I wanted to use them. Just a bit of clarification from my side if I was erm not clear   It was late, I'm sorry. :embarrassed:

I'm working on a few posts for Annúnfalas in Ages of Arda and Círdan's Court then I was planning to be at Last Homely House for you, Annúnfalas, and Fuin, @Legolas :encore: 😎.

The AoA is a five-parter for Annúnfalas concerning Nerdanel and Fëanor, Amrod and Ninathiel (Annúnfalas' character) which is essential for the Canon timeline of the RPG series (since we've never chronicled their meeting and marriage in its decade+ existence on the Plaza) and Nina's history with the King (including their introduction and Amras, played by Moriel) in the current Bragollach War plot)...

I just finished one segment last night for her (the naming of Amrod and Amras at birth) and need to do another which takes place years before (the meeting of Fëanor and Nerdanel). I can post those together then can finish my Círdan's Court post which is short then get to the Last Homely House before resuming the Ages of Arda writing for Annúnfalas...

Oh, look, I just sorted that out.

Image
If it wasn't for my long physically demanding work shifts in RL, I'd be kicking out posts faster but no worries I'm getting there, brother :headbang: ! I have to clock in today but tomorrowI have no shift, just church in the night, so I should be able to complete the meeting of Nerdanel and Fëanor and finish my Círdan's Court post; I have my Swan Knight's arrival at Port already written ⛵.

Well, I'm back and I was looking for a home for the Dunedain Rangers of the North. It appears it is included here? Much of the lore I have to share pertains to the Lost Realm of Arnor and its extensions of Rhuadur, Cardolan, Arthedain, and of course, the wandering Dunedain that emerged from the ruins of Arthedain. As far as being a part of a 'Kingdom' I have selected 'Rohan' as my main character Hanasian is the son of Halasian, a rough Dunedain Ranger and Forcwyn, a Maiden of Rohan. I plan on presenting that story in The Cottage of Lost Tales.

I have seen the lovely characters presented in the character age and am curious if that would be where I could present some of my characters that wander Eriador? I have a lot of questions on how things work here and if there is somewhere I should be asking this stuff, please point me in the right direction.

This is as good a place as any to ask questions @Hanasian! The Free RPs are for basically whatever you want them to be, tell whatever stories you'd like with as many characters as you want. Eriador would be the closest to Arnor that we have currently, potentially Bree as well, and you can always create an Arnor RP thread here or in Gondor if you'd like.

What kind of questions did you have? If I can't answer them, there are several other well seasoned RPers that would be able to give some insight I'm sure

Welcome back @Hanasian as the Octopus has siad this is an absolutely excellent place for questions. We do have 2 character submission threads that you can look through to see if that's the sort of thing you are meaning for presenting your characters? Given that you seem to want more Dunedain I'd probably suggest Character Submissions - Rivendell / Lone Lands / Bree

and we do have at least one Dunedain thread here in Imladris (and you're welcome to play Dunedain in almost any free RP thread hear in Imladris as well as any Free RP in any of the other Kingdoms. This Plaza is a lot more relaxed than the old one, so you may get a lot of YEAH do your thing start a thread for it! if it doesn't exist already.

We've missed you @Hanasian , welcome back home! I remember you from Old Plaza. Imladris Forum serves as a place for the Elven realms, the Dúnedain/Ranger areas, Bree, and every corner of Eriador as far south as Minhiriath; Ever On: The World Beyond thread you can RP anywhere Middle-earth but anything related to Angmar can be found here in Mordor https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... f=14&t=480 .

I'm the leader of the Rangers as Aragorn's chief lieutenant (my NPC, Khallador Galerida) and I RP Aragorn in Dúnedain RPs Right now you can write your Ranger(s) in independent or collaborative stories in the Free RP threads like Paths of Eriador. The 'headquarters' thread is Osdolen again but it's going to face a lot of hardship following my next update so you'll want to be there soon... https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... f=10&t=147

@Annúnfalas has a Ranger RPG in the works. If you're interested in chronicling the Edain ancestors of Halasian, Ages of Arda IV: Mantle of Darkness would be perfect https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... f=10&t=297 ; presently we're chronicling the Bragollach War before the Beren & Lúthien phase in this historical RPG Saga and the mortals are becoming heavily attacked in Dorthonion.

We could use Rangers in Ost-Halatir, fighting along side the Elves ; if you're interested, let me know and I'll help you get involved in one of the missions ending there currently. Both Elven parties need reinforcements. https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... f=10&t=233

These are the list of the Free RPs:

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... ?f=10&t=74 Paths of Eriador (RP anywhere in Eriador)

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... f=10&t=274 (RP anywhere in Arda: Past, present, or future)

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... ?f=10&t=30 Valley of Rivendell

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... ?f=10&t=72 Lothlórien

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... ?f=10&t=55 Mirkwood

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... f=10&t=414 The Woodland Realm (Mirkwood II, concentrated on Thranduil's halls but I suppose including the forest itself as well)

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... ?f=10&t=76 Bree-land

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... f=10&t=628 Lindon (Includes the Ocean and Dwarven communities)

https://lotrfanaticsplaza.com/forum/vie ... f=10&t=288 Mithlond (concentrated on the primary shipyard but I suppose it includes all voyages oversea)
