Thank you for your participation so far in the ARPYs by reading the posts and casting your votes!
We would now like to ask for assistants for the next stage: The Presentation of the Awards.
As you may know if you have attended the ARPYs before, each award is handed out by a “celebrity” volunteer, often a famous character from Tolkien’s works such as Aragorn, Galadriel, Celebrimbor etc. This is where you come in!

Dependent on demand, we may not be able to guarantee that you’ll get your first choice, so feel free to pick more than one.

FAQ:
Can I volunteer to be more than one character/give out more than one award?
Yes, but you may not get all your choices or first choice if they’re popular!
Does my character have to be a canon Tolkien character, or can I use one of my own?
You don’t have to, but if you’re using a personal character it’d be nice to include any IC titles you have when we’re announcing our celebrity presenter e.g Captain of the Guard, Master Healer, etc. Please do use a character that would fit into Tolkien’s world as opposed to like, a Snorlax or something.
Do I need to be an experienced role player? I’ve never played Berúthiel/Éomer/Shelob before!
Not at all, no need for long and elaborate posts unless you want to! We want you to enjoy it and have some fun bringing your character to life. All that is strictly required is for you, IC, to open an envelope and declare that X is the winner of Y! Simples
What if I commit, but then can’t make it on the day?
That’s ok! We know real life happens, and indeed we can’t guarantee the date your presentation will happen! We’ll give you some notice by tagging you in our OOC thread beforehand. If you don’t respond there or if you let us know you can’t make it, after a while we will ask someone else to fill in for you. You’re still very welcome to RP being there and enjoying the party!

Honestly the person that uses Shelob and then spells out the winners name in webs because the spideresque shriekings are not getting it across and everyone is looking at the Triumvirate in terror that we would let SHELOB present an award...

The character/s you would like to play: Feanor's Ghost, he can put on a fabulous crystal light show display and plot naughty things with Maeglin. Manwë is my second major choice and I'd spell the winner's name in clouds
. Failing that, others I'd like to use: Elrond, Aragorn, Eowyn, or Galadriel. Failing those.... Hatholdir, The Mole King...

Just wanted to hop in here real quick like and mention that regarding your choice of Tolkien characters you don't have to limit yourself to characters from Middle Earth that are alive in the 3rd and 4th age 
The ARPYs are being held in the wonderful timeline of Suspension of Disbelief 
so for example, if you would very much like to present the award for Best Lore post as Fëanor's ghost (hey, if Hamlet can do it so can we!) or as Daeron go ahead! Heck if you want to present Best comedy as a troupe of Manwë's eagles (I'm just going to take the liberty and tag @Lailyn here so she can do all the birbs 
) I will pay you in chocolates.
All of this to say Suspend your Disbelief, pick a Tolkien character, any character, from any age, no matter how big or small and have fun. Or go as your own character, or characters and don't let the thought of not having a fancy title discourage you. Titles are lovely remains of feudalism (Držiha, the humble chronicler of the Right and Honourable Peregrin Took has Opinions™ (QED here) on this matter) but you don't have to be the Captain of the Guard or the Best Craft Beer Maker in all of Bree to participate. If you want to go as the Noble Fool or the village idiot by all means join Pippin on the left side
