I do not know if you remember me but this is Sur Vanar from the Plaza of yore. I returned to my Middle-earth brethren a few months ago and with a new name for a new primary character. I finished reading all the currently posted biographies in the Imladris character submissions threads and have really enjoyed those of your characters.
I just concluded a masquerade thread but I am certain we will cross paths in roleplay at one point. If you would like to discuss anything Plaza-related, feel free to message me on the Discord server. <3

Hey, all!
I joined years ago and forgot all about this place. I’m glad I remembered during my current Tolkien!geekiness phase. This time I hope it’s not just a phase, but a big hobby again! Other than that, I’m 30, a girl—- despite my username (I sound like I should be boating on the Brandywine River)—-, I love older PC games like the original Neverwinter Nights,and I love elves more than hobbits(there’s that name thing again.....l).

@Carnelasse welcome back!! This is a different version of the plaza completely so a few things are a little different. If you ever want to change your name again for instance, you'll have to ask in the name change requests thread in admin messages- but it also won't cost you any point to do so, and neither does changing kingdoms

Hello! I'm Aelindor. I joined after reading Halfir's old post about the "proper gems" in the Rings of Power. So far I am astonished by the sheer volume and detail of the discussion here, and also saddened by how many threads are lost.
Nothing is lost forever though, right? I hope, in time, perhaps these topics will come up again and we will ponder them to the same depths once explored in these pages.
Or maybe not. It may all be lost forever, and fully, so that I am left wandering the ruins of once great works, with only the stones to lament what has been lost. If that is the case, I can take solace that I have at least these stones, these titles and these references and these reflections, to carry the stories on, though I cannot read your discussions. I have not any Rings, nor stories from Eregion, but I can walk what were once its streets...

Mae gonannen! In my travels, I was away when this new Plaza was born. I was a member of the old site from way back though wasn't all that active. My journey here today was via many varied paths, where I went to check old bookmarks to see what was still working (very little of the old legacy sites of around the turn of the century). I visited the abandoned city of Arwen Undomiel, and from there found a link to a 'new Arwen Undomiel, and there, a user said the Plaza was back up and running again, so I came here. Updating my bookmarks! In the interim I have been on Tolkien Forums, and on the recently renovated One Ring (.com), and RP Repository where I'm archiving my old Realm of Arnor Runboard I've had for nearly twenty years into a group.
I hope to be around more! The place is looking good!

Arnor never was a Kingdom on the Plaza :P But we have plenty of free RP threads and you are welcome to at any time make a free Arnor rp thread :)

I'm guessing it would be included in the Imladris area as there doesn't appear to be any 'Lone Lands' or 'Eriador' areas.

Agree with Moriel's recommendation and also for context - this Plaza retains the original kingdom structure from the earlier years of the Plaza. The regions (Eriador and, within it, the Lone Lands) came later.

Cool! I'll get myself sorted. Thinking Imladris would be the 'closest' to Eriador and there is mention of the areas there so will likely set something up there.

Well met @Lailyn ! My activity pattern on the old Plaza was short periods of a lot of posting followed by extended periods of absence. I have a fist full of characters I'll be bringing in. They are from all over the land... a few Dunedain Rangers, some Rohirrim, a Daleman, one from Harad, one from Dunland, a couple from Rhun and one from Khand. I also have an OC who is half Dunlanding half Rohirrim.

That user was me, but since the new site isn't very active, I deleted my account. If it becomes more active, I may rejoin it (though I'll have to register with Marida's full name instead of just her first name). I have many characters on this site; my main character, Naelia; her half-sister, Lathana (though she's imprisoned in the Pits); a Ranger wannabe named Talina (who was originally a dwarf of Erebor when I was more into Thorin); a Hobbit child named Elanor Starsley (though I've only played her once in a Christmas themed thread) and an alternate version of Marida's mother in Khazad dum. I also have a few Orcish characters; Orngor (Naelia's trusted helper) and Ormiak (though many think he may have been killed by Lathana when she attempted to escape, but I may bring him back at some point).

Hi everyone! I feel rather shy posting here... It's been around ten years since I last posted on the plaza! I think I was 15 years old when I joined in 2006 or 2007. I went by the same name of Calenaldawen (Calena, Cally for short) and mostly hung out in Rohan, the Shire, Isengard and the Cottage of Lost Play. At some point I took care of the CoLP as one of the maias. Then college happened and I guess I haven't been back since... Time flies!
Seems like I'm a year "late" in joining the new plaza?!?! I rewatched the LOTR EE this week. Nostalgia made me wonder whether the plaza that I loved so dearly as a teenager still existed. I'm glad to see that it does indeed and that it's still active! It's sad to hear that the plaza "died" at some point, and lovely to see that it's been given a second live by Narv!
Anyway, it's fun to see familiar old names!

Oh my goodness, all the familiar names. I thought I'd never see any of you again. So wonderful to see you all again and this marvelous reincarnation of our beloved plaza.
