"They went along many paths and climbed many stairs, until they came to the high places and saw before them
amid a wide lawn a fountain shimmering. It was lit by silver lamps that swung from the boughs of trees, and it fell into
a basin of silver, from which a white stream spilled. Upon the south side of the lawn there stood the mightiest of trees...

Guidelines:

* Please stay in character and keep the things you do and say in the spirit of Tolkien and white out any OOC at the end of your post.
*Everyone welcome! Though, any minions are likely to be terminated upon entry. Enter at your own risk.
* Feel free to share songs and poetry in character, but if it is adapted from somewhere else, please give acknowledgement, whether IC or OOC.
* Have fun!

At the foot of the dwelling of Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel lies the ever-green Lawn of Lórien. A pair of ornately carved mallorn wood chairs flank the sparkling fountain and serve as woodland thrones for the Lord and Lady when they choose to descend from their lofty talan. Galadhrim lie in the shade of the trees or on the soft grass, eating and drinking and listening to music. Occasionally those of bardic nature stand before the fountain and recite poetry, sing songs of old, or spin the tales of their weaving.

(As an aside, if someone wants to try and NPC Galadriel or Celeborn (or any other applicable canon Lorien character), I say, go for it. It might be interesting to have those characters show up every now and again.)
