Oh yay!
Thanks for starting this!

Name: Eamila Bolger
Gender: female
Age: in her forties...
Location: Pincup, Green Hill Country
Appearance: sandy colored hair, mostly braided, a bit chubby, clothed in yellow, green and blue mostly, always wearing a clean apron
Personality: Ea is friendly, warm and caring. She likes to be among other Hobbits, but enjoys time alone too. She is loyal and will do what she has promised.
Interests: Ea loves to bake and cook and invite guest to her house. She also likes to garden. She has traveled once, in a war that the whole of Middle Earth was part of (2003) but she was only in her twenties then. Now she likes to be settled and stay in the Shire.
Weapons: a bow and arrow if needed. But a rolling pin will do just fine too.
Pets: two cats and a dog, some chickens in the back yard.
History: Eamila Bolger has been living in the Shire all of her live (duh). She was part of the FAME (Free Army of Middle Earth) long time ago, under Aragorn and Arwen. During this time she made new friends, like Eldrith from Gondor, who later moved to Rohan. Back in the Shire she was active in many things, like the Knitting Club, the Old Tooks and the Green Dragon Inn. She even was 'Samwise' of the Shire for some time, together with Brandybuck.
In the Shire, she fell in love with MerryHobbit/Merioldo Bolger. The love was mutual, but the two Hobbits ended up having a long distance relationship since Merioldo spends a lot of time with his Dwarf friends. Ea therefore lives alone, always on the lookout to see if the love of her life will return and if he does, if he will this time stay with her forever.
Ea's brother is called Milo.

Name: Lily Knotwise

Gender: Female

Age: thirty-something

Location: Lily has a modest home overlooking The Water, not far from the village of Frogmorton in the East Farthing area of the Shire.

Appearance: Lily has mouse-brown hair usually worn in pigtails, and hazel eyes. Her skin is fair and has a tendancy to freckle. She has a round face with a ready smile and a nose slightly too big for her face (or maybe her face is slightly too small). Generally her body could be described as round, but her slightly longer than average legs give her a slight height advantage amongst hobbits, and are handy for reaching high shelves. She dresses simply, usually a white blouse with a coordinated skirt and pinafore, but always has flowers in her hair.

Personality: Lily loves spending time with people, be they hobbit or otherwise, and is often the first to strike up a conversation with a stranger. She is very neat and tidy and can't bear to leave a mess behind, and in fact can get quite angry when people take advantage of that fact. She throws herself wholeheartedly into everything she does, often meaning that by the end of the day she is exhausted, but she doesn't mind, and can often be found napping if nothing much else is going on.

Interests: Lily loves food, no surprise there, but making food for other people is really her passion. This is especially true if she has grown the food herself in her garden, which has the most extensive vegetable patch and orchard in the local area: she is famous for her delicious berries.

Weapons: not being terribly aggressive, weapons aren't something Lily normally thinks about, but if pushed she might load a slingshot with fruit stones and pelt you with them.

Pets: though not a pet in the normal sense, Lily has tamed a magpie in her garden, who brings her shiny things in exchange for good, and she has a goat which she keeps for the milk and to keep the grass down.

History: Lily has made a small mark on Shire history by taking over the running of the Strawberrystar Brewery for many years (though she went by her nickname some of the time), which for a time supplied ales and wines as far as Rivendell as well as establishments closer to home like the Green Dragon and Prancing Pony.
She is not averse to travelling either, providing she is in good company, and in her Brewery days had been known to visit Rivendell and Minas Tirith 'on business'.

Name: Lotho Hogfoot
Gender: Male
Age: In his forties
Location: Buckland
Appearance: Rather big for a Hobbit with a unusually thick middle. He has a head full of reddish ringlets and side whiskers on his round face. His eyes are green.
Personality: He's rather eccentric and bookish.
Interests: Trees and plants. It also collects insects.
Weapons: None
Pets: Nothing that could really be called a pet, though he visits the edge of the Old Forest, where there is a particularly large Oak that is red. He had discovered he can feed it pieces of meat.
History: Lotho has the hazardous habit of peering into the Old Forest to see that one unusual tree. He has some stories about the Old Forest, lending to his reputation of being eccentric. He friends think he is 'balmy' when he talks about that tree he can feed fish and pieces of pork to.

Name: Real name, Lila Bulge. Adopted name, Istya Alassea
Gender: Female
Age: Late thirties
Location: Hobbiton
Appearance: Dark brown curls that stop shortly before her waist, and with dark brown eyes. Usually seen in long and red, purple, brown or pink dresses, offset by the usual apron hanging at the waist. At the time of her submission, she is getting close to the end of her first pregnancy, so her tummy is sticking out further than usual for a hobbit. But everything is within proportion for a hobbit at her age. Usually rosy colored in the cheeks and healthy in girth, since she likes to keep active and busy.
Personality: She grew up curious and shy, but she then learned later in life to enjoy life, be productive and be of help where she can. She can be known to have more than one job at a time, usually taking on creative and partly managerial projects in order to assist her friends. She loves partying, food and socializing, but likes to give all that energy and food back into her community.
Interests: Food and drink preparation, hosting events, theater, writing, traveling, and arts and crafts.
Weapons: Parasols and fry pans. Not much else.
Pets: No pets. She is usually too busy anyway. When she married her husband, he had an older cat and the cat came to like her - eventually. However, the kitty passed away not too long ago. She misses the little tiger!

History: Her hobbit parents had died when she was a toddler. So an elven friend of her mother's adopted her and brought her to Lothlorien to live with her and a family of elves. It was unusual to have a hobbit in an elven kingdom, but Istya thrived under the elves' care and really took to her studies in their large libraries. Her elven mother dubbed her Istya Alassea at around that time, since the name means "Joyful Knowledge" in the Quenya language.

When she became old enough to be considered an adult, she moved back to Hobbiton and established herself here with a stall at the Shire Market and a writing job at the Shire Players. She met an elf lad there who she got along with great. They almost even got married at one point. But their wedding plans skidded to a halt when both of them felt they were being called to take care of individual other parts of their lives.

Once she and Ecaps lost touch, she waited to see where the Valar wanted her next. She ended up in Bree one evening, and met another elf lad Eldor Dasatra - who decided to marry her after a year of them seeing each other. Istya and Eldor now live back in Hobbiton, and they recently welcomed a precious hobbit newborn into Istya's old home.

She claims to have been to Valinor and held Mahal's hammer and visited the Halls of Waiting and talked to Durin. It is true that she disappeared for a few years before turning up in a Gondorian pub and being thrown out for brawling. Her hair had turned completely white during her disappearance.

Image Henna Lightfoot née Took

An elderly lady in her sixties, Henna is recently widowed and living in Bywater on her own in what is a large home for just her. She never had any children, but a large number of the local children call her Auntie, since she runs an open house, is dedicated to baking and saves her occasionally sharp tongue for those with no manners.

While she might be elderly and walk with a stick, she goes at a good pace, living up to her name, despite a superabundance of second-breakfasts, elevensies, lunches and high teas with neighbours - she cannot say no to a cake. Or trying out homemade wines.

You might find her pottering in the garden, or genteeling enticing the neighbour's cats inside with offers of a better life. A seamstress by trade, she still keeps her hand in, altering clothes as the waistlines expand, hobbit-fashion, and thus she quite likes spinning, knitting and embroidery as hobbies, too. But if a nephew wanted to take her out for a ride on his trap, she'd be quite willing to go, (with a travelling rug and a full hamper) especially if she can see the Big Water. Quite unnaturally for a hobbit, she loves to see flowing water and has even made the big journey west to the coast to see the Elven ships depart more than once.

The second child of Brando and Marjoram Took, Henna was a surprise arrival, since they hadn't known they were having twins. Her brother, Hugo, no more than ten minutes older, was her closest confidante in their early years and they have remained close ever after. Their other siblings, four younger girls - Clover, Bluebell, Fern and Lavender, were all very much mothered by their big sister, although have since become mothers themselves to growing families.

She married her sweetheart, Tolman (Tom) Lightfoot, after he pursued her with flattering but bumbling dedication after a dance on the Lawn in her seventeenth summer. They lived in Michel Delving for many years, before travelling back to be nearer to her own family in Tuckborough, in nearby Bywater. Tom died before the terrible events of 3019, and she was glad for him to have never have seen such times, though she misses him awfully on lonely evenings.

Name: Thea Braggabrook
Gender: Female
Age: Young adult, unmarried, and of the age where it is entirely expect she work to fix that sort of thing before it’s too late
Location: Buckland, though she was rather scandalously raised near the other side of Bree, where her brother still lives.
Appearance: Chubby cheeked and fair, she has well-tended blond curls and prides herself in an inimitably refined (by hobbit standards) wardrobe.
Personality: Thea’s love and only true goal in life is to be the envy of her neighbors.
Interests: Currently, she driven to cultivate her new garden of elven plants. What plants, you might ask? Elven. Obviously. She just told you that. What, specifically? Shush. Get out of her way, she has to water her plants, can’t you see them wilting in the shade of your presence?
Weapons: none.
Pets: none.
History: Thea Braggabrook is the only girl in her family, which would probably be more impressive if her brother, Lanton, were not the only boy. Her family own the enviable land that sits outside of Shire proper, if you want to be picky about that sort of thing, of Braggabrook (It is NOT Braggart Brook, Finch Tucklewood!) near the otherside of Bree. Her father, in his genius, knew the land would soon be booming with hobbiton interest, but he was such a forward thinker that he gave his son the estate while the rest of the Shire is still slow to catch on. As a gift. Thea and her parents have now newly returned to the Shire and she fully intends to impress upon the unfamiliar that she is the epitome of what every hobbit wants to be.

Gender: Female
Age: 28
Location: Bywater
Appearance: Average build for a hobbit lass; curly light brown hair, hazel eyes
Personality: Pearl is a cheery young hobbit who likes to explore within the borders of the Shire. She enjoys helping others and often can be found cleaning up messes of her own making, as she's a bit clumsy.
Interests: Baking, attempting to garden, and hiking around the Shire
Weapons: A baker's dozen of cookies and a tendency toward messiness!
Pets: Pearl has a cat named Socks
History: Pearl is a 28-year-old hobbit lass hailing from Bywater. She lives with her mother (Robin) her father (Olo), and her two younger siblings (Daisy and Tom). Name: Born Sasparilla Clementine Brandybuck-Banks, but she goes by Rilla Banks
(her mother was one of those wild child freethinkers who gave her children too many names and refused to shed the name Brandybuck upon marriage)
Gender: female
Age: 35
Location: Currently looking for a nice hole or home to settle in either Bywater or Buckland or maybe Frogmorton. She can't quite decide, but thinks she ought to as an "adult."
Appearance: Reddish-brown curls, round cheeks and average hobbit height. She likes to wear brightly colored hats that clash with her hair or outfit or both.
Personality: Rilla is outgoing and curious and as a result, may come off as impolite to others. She sometimes gets easily distracted and she likes traveling the Shire to sample food but also to meet new acquaintances.
Interests: Food and drink, trying new food and drink, writing about new food and drink. She also likes walking and meeting folks, collecting pebbles from the places she goes, learning new things and secretly likes water, including boating on the Brandywine River .
Weapons: None other than her wit or walking stick for now.
Pets: None until she settles somewhere, but she really loves all animals.
History: She grew up with many fellow Brandybuck-Banks siblings and they split their time between Buckland and Bywater. It isn't odd for her to feel "rootless" now since she moved so much as a child. Since turning 33, she thinks she ought to settle down somewhere but she can't quite pin down where that place is.
She aspires to travel the Shire and write a book about the food and drink she eats and tries along the way. If it goes well, she's considered going further abroad to do the same, but knows she will likely need to buy a map first at the very least.

Age: in his tweens
Location: Frogmorton
Appearance: Flax blonde hair, red cheeks, hazel eyes. He is more rotund than most hobbits due to his lazy lifestyle and sports a lovely double chin. For clothes he favours green colours.
Personality: Bit of a dreamer. Bit of a lazy-aragorn too.
Interests: Books and the adventures that hold them. He desires to have adventures, even if he also desires the comforts of his parents' home.
Weapons: None. He is rather good aim and you know what they say about hobbits stooping to pick up a stone...
Pets: No, he does not like animals much, particularly dogs of the canine variety.
History: Grew up in his parents' house and never really got out until he decided books weren't giving him enough companionship and he needed some real interaction with real people. (Doesn't mean he's good at it though.)

Name: Jorgy Underash
Gender: Male
Age: technically only a few months, looks to be in his early 30s however
Location: Jorgy, having just found himself to be a Hobbit, has yet to find a home yet, though any hidey hole will do really, unless that’s not what Hobbit do.
Appearance: Jorgy retained much of the coloring he did when he was a lava snake, but the color of his scales has translated into having ruddy brown and shaggy hair (he has only bathed a few times, falling into a stream or getting caught in a rainstorm) with sun tanned skin. His eyes, if one looks closely enough, are blue-grey with hints of red around the edges with the iris’ slightly more slit like that normal but not to the degree that it might be widely noticeable. He is of average Hobbit height, around three foot, 5 inches. He is, however of a very un-Hobbit like weight. Having never heard of things like Second Breakfast, muffins, or even bonbons, Jorgy has been forced to eating on a similar schedule as a lava snake, that is whenever he could find food, due to this unorthodox (in the mind of all Hobbits) eating method, Jorgy is rather thin but not to the point of waifishness, his feet are slightly larger than is normal for a Hobbit his size, making him rather clumsy and not a very good dancer.
Personality: Jorgy Underash is rather odd duck, but he wasn’t a duck so the metaphor isn’t completely apt, and odd snake is not a thing. He is a very happy, very enthusiastic lava sn—Hobbit. His lava snake personality has been mostly (mostly) replaced by that of an odd, eccentric, but well meaning Hobbit lad who just wants to learn and make people smile
Interests: Learning how to Hobbit, finding out about new kinds of meals, hunting for worms, Pearl, finding out new and interesting uses for arms and legs, dancing, learning about the Shire, finding a place to live
Weapons: but why?
Pets: Jorgy, newly come to Hobbithood, does not quite understand the concept of a pet. While he befriended many a dragonfly and wandering turtle on his trip from Mordor to the Shire, he has no notion of what a pet is or what good they might serve.
History: Jorgy Underash woke up under a pile of ashes in Mordor, completely naked, and very afraid (though with a hunger for potatoes at the same time). He has vague memories of being a lava snake named Jormungandr and thus still has many of the odd thinking patterns of a snake. Once he found some clothes, taken off the clothes line of a very irate orcish housewife, he began the journey to the Shire. He had no ide what he would find there, nor what the Shire was, but there was something deep within him that called him there. After several months of journeying and wandering aimless around in very large circles, He finally made it to the Shire, were he, as soon as he arrived, decided to go on a Walking Tour, believing that it was a tour that would help him learn to walk. While the trip has been very informative, especially in the matters of second breakfast and how not to play tag and what muffins are, he has not quite learned how to walk properly, he is still investigating this as he wants to be the best walker there is so he can walk with Pearl.

Name: Abelard Brandybuck
Gender: Male.
Age: 22.
Location: Born and raised on the far side of the Brandywine, but now living in a small hole within walking distance of Bywater.
Appearance: Smallish, youngish, with curly brown hair. Abelard has not yet gotten fat, but he might (if adulthood slows him down).
Personality: A quick laugher and a quick joker, there is nothing Abelard loves quite so much as playing pranks on his (sometimes even willing) friends and neighbors.
Pets: His large dogs, Meg and Anne.
History: A young and only distantly related scion of the Brandybuck clan, Abelard grew up riding to Bree and pushing (on occasion) into the Old Forest. Now, growing bored with life in Buckland, he has struck west into the Shire proper to seek his fortunate and have some fun.

Name: Almaren
Gender: Female
Age: She's in her forties but doesn't always act like it
Location: No fixed abode at present. Currently wandering around while she decides where she'd like to settle.
Appearance: Outwardly serene but this doesn't tell the full story.
Personality: Generally cautious but has been known to act on impulse when something catches her imagination.
Interests: Exploring new ways of cooking and preparing food. She must be or have been a hobbit in another life. Plants, trees, animals and music. Loves walking, especially at dawn and at sunset.
Weapons: None, unless you count a Swiss Army knife.
Pets: Feeds and ducks on the pond.
History: Ended up in the Shire by chance. Was told by the innkeeper at the Prancing Pony at Bree that the hobbit-folk loved everything to do with food, so she followed the delicious smell across the Brandywine into the Eastfarthing. Loves being in the Shire, every day brings new things to enjoy. Background before that is a bit vague, memory might return at some point.
"But in the end it's only a passing thing, this shadow; even darkness must pass."

Name: Fosco Bracegirdle
Gender: Male Hobbit
Age: 40s - A few years out of his Tweens
Location: His own workshop and hole in Buckland
Appearance: Wide chest, heavily muscular arms, especially for a hobbit, as he lifts and carries big tree trunks in and out of his woodworking workshop. Milk-chocolate curly hair and blue eyes
Personality: Polite, cheerful, a bit naive
Interests: Woodworking and custom built furniture. Moved to Buckland to get Shire and Bree Business, and has been building for hobbits and men alike for a couple of years now.
Weapons: He's quite skilled with a chisel and woodworking tools, but otherwise no real weapons.
Pets: maybe soon
History: Cousin to Violet Whitfoot, she sent business from across the Shire his way, and the hobbits of Bree took notice of his work as well. He was able to purchase a good, comfy, cool hole and built a proper workshop attached to the hillside so he can keep several projects going at the same time. He's been dabbling in some small ironworks to build his own metal accents, but he would love it if a Yukog Dwarf would come to Bree and give him some tips one day.

Name: Myrtle "Mertie" Gardner
Gender: Female Hobbit
Age: 70s
Location: Bree
Appearance: Pleasant, wisened, wrinkled face. Slight humpback from hunching over for too many years gardening, but strong and easily capable of cleaning and keeping any house that paid her well for it.
Personality: Shrewd, calculating, quick to harp on those she thought needed a good talking-to. She knew how to keep secrets, and was as good as any hobbit at hiding in plain sight.
Interests: Working hard and a quiet place to drink a cuppa tea at night.
Weapons: Her condescending glare
Pets: none
History: Myrtle grew up in a Bree hobbit family, so they quickly adapted to domestic service at the local inns and the richer human houses that wanted someone to tidy up and keep the house in order. She took pleasure in a clean house with a fresh polish, even if it wasn't her own. She would always prefer a house that kept her contract for years than moving around continuously. She had a slightly grumpy demeanor to most hobbits, and she mothered everyone she came to befriend.

Personality: Curious about everything, cautious and often flighty but friendly enough.
Interests: Hunting and foraging for food, exploring, writing and reading when possible.
Weapons: Some daggers, a small spade, an ironwood walking stick
Pets: A large raggedy dog he calls Scruff.
History: He was raised in a well to do family and was being prepped for marriage though he can’t, even his wildest dreams, imagine himself as anyone’s spouse. He left a note for his family and fled into the farthings to experience what the world has to offer, be it warm and welcoming or cold and cruel.

Name: Periantar
Gender: Male
Age: mid-60s (in hobbit years)
Location: I am, at heart, a wanderer - while the Shire is and always will be my home, the adventures and freedom of the open road will always call to me. If I am not roaming the countryside and seeing all that this wonderful Middle-Earth has to offer, then you may well see me by the fireside in The Green Dragon Inn, drawing thoughtfully on a pipe; or at a table in the Prancing Pony listening to, or sharing many a tall tale of my own.
Appearance: A little narrower about the waist than many feel a hobbit should be, I am nontheless possessed of a fine appetite - one that any self-respecting hobbit could be proud of. My smaller waist is merely an unwanted side effect of my extended journeys far afield.
Though my clothes once had the air of a hobbit of fine means, (I generally wear a loveley gold waistcoat and trousers of a vibrant green), they are a little weather beaten. Indeed many is the time that I have been taken for one without so much as a hole to call home.
Personality: While I can be quite laid back when I'm at home with hobbit folks, most of all I am restless. When trouble arises - though I seldom go looking for it, it often seems to seek me out - I am ready for it. I am an adventurous chap, though there be not a drop of the Took about me.
Interests: Gardening, eating, enjoying a pint, seeing what might be around the next bend or over the next hill.
Weapons: I carry a short sword as I have been in need of self-defense a few times now. besides this I have my camping axe and a stout knife.
Pets: I consider many of the animals of the wild to be my pets.
History: Growing up near Bag End, I frequently listended to the stories of Samwise Gamgee and his many adventures - told first hand by himself. in my tweens, I would often travel the Shire with Sam, replanting and checking on the work of regrowing its beauty. As time went by, my wondering across the Shire with Master Sam, became wondering as far as Buckland or just past the Western borders. Soon though, I farewelled my family - shaking their heads and wondering what fool hardy thing I was doing - and headed on a proper journey. Since then if I'm not staying put, then I'm off adventuring, and if I'm off adventuring, then I'm not staying put.
Periantar:
I am a multi facited hobbit, for I am a gardener;
a leader, hobbit second regiment of the HDS;
and fireworks meister of TISAPA.
