I Have Never...

And of old it was not darksome, but full of light and splendour, as is still remembered in our songs.

I have (before my brother became allergic to them) as our yard site had spruce trees all around it that were planted too close together so we had to cut some out so we had some gorgeous blue spruce trees for about 7 years? I have never been in a 'luxury sports' car.

OOME unless it was being discussed in a way to compare it to LOTR then it would go in Lore. If the Plaza were to have a Kinship on LOTRO would you join it?

Neither have I, and can't say I care much. Gimme a good, properly working car though! I have never seen a sequoia.

Probably not, since not into LOTRO... Have you tried to spam in lore threads?

I have never seen a sequoia either. I imagine trees such as these would be quite an impressive sight to behold. I have stood in it but, I have never actually swum in the ocean.

No, I am too intimidated by the loremasters. :fish: Have you ever wondered how Hobbit's kept their perishable food refrigerated?

I have dipped in and swum in the Atlantic when visiting the north of Sweden - lots of jellyfish! I have never been stuck in an elevator.

In their plentiful cellars, I guess. Have you ever tried to write longer sentences in some sort of M-E language?

But I have written quite a lot in English.

Nope, I haven't even set a foot in the desert. Would probably not make it far as I hate heat. I have never sung in an opera.

Never sang in an opera. I did sing in the Christmas choir and St. Patrick Day celebrations. I have never touched a horse.

I have never changed my name every day for a month on the plaza. That would make me too confused. Have you ever boasted to someone about all the knowledge you have regarding The Lord of The Rings?

To answer Pele's first question I have not on camera but I have done costuming for a season of Less than kind. I have never liked my natural hair colour

No. I'm not well versed enough in Lore to post in the spirit of Halfir (though I think he'd have a chuckle at some of my Lore topics or an aneurism, not sure which) if you're referring to a thread/forum sort of thing definitely no. Have you ever debated on running into the woods and making yourself a hobbit hole and living there in secret?

Aikári - Follow the link to check out how the game works. Thanks! I Have Never

I had only changed my hair colour once when I was 40. I used a product called Sun In. It turned my dark brown hair blonde and left dark spots on my neck. I have never attempted to change the colour since. The mid-life crisis, I believe. I have never eaten octopus.

I never thought of building a hole, but I have thought of living in a cave (it's a dwarven thing). Something cool like la casa del Zorro. Have you raised a cup to The Professor on his 130 birthday?

Octopus is one of my favorite delicacies, I have it every time I go to a sushi restaurant. I have never owned a gramophone

I don't know if he'd approve of my style of beer, but I definitely did. Have you ever looked at prices for owning your own island?

Cool! I have read that octopus is pretty nutritional. I have never owned a gramophone but, my Nanny did. I have never, never, rode a large pig.

Do you mean an Island in Middle-earth? No. Speaking of islands, what would be your favourite location in Middle-earth for a vaction?

I also have never ridden on a large (or small when I was young) pig. I have never liked living turkeys.

For a vacation in Middle earth I'd probably say Tolfalas mostly because it's in Gondor so it's going to be more temperate than the islands near Mithlond and Forochel and perhaps a bit safer than any islands that might exist in Harad. What are your favourite Ruins in Middle-earth?

I've always been partial to undead turkeys myself. I have never crossed "The Bridge" into Mexico

Moria, technically their ruins, right? What's the worst thing you could do to embarrass one of your characters and why haven't you done it?

I've never been outside Europe, so I haven't either. I have never used a fire extinguisher.

Now, that is a difficult question indeed! Err... Some stranger kiss Pele in public? I don't know really. In this particular case not sure I'd want the said stranger leave proudly sporting a black eye. Have any of your characters participated in a contest (of any sort)?

I have never used a fire extinguisher either, but I look at them at work and have figured out what to do if I have to use one. I have never been to a casino/gambling house.

Oh yes, Drifa was in many contests. She even won a few. Mostly arty stuff. Have you ever read, Smith of Wootton Major?

I have, in fact, been to a casino in Las Vegas although I do not like to gamble. I have never slept on a boat/cruise over night.

I have read Smith of Wooton Major, although it was a long time ago. Which is your least favorite plaza icon?

I have never slept on a cruise ship, but I have slept on a pontoon boat. I have never had a Red Bull or any other energy drink.

Hmm, I do not have the least favourite icon. All icons are rather lovely. I do not look at them much, to be honest. Do you think dwarf-women ever became friends with female elves like their male counterparts did with male elves?

I also have never officially danced the tango... My friend and I use to mockingly dance the tango in Junior High after we saw True Lies but like no official tango lol I have never had to use an emergency shelter of any sort

I mean the ash and lava would allow for excellent and strong plant growth if there weren't noxious fumes and enough water... So yes. I probably would attempt it. Maybe we should make a silly RP thread doing just that LOL. Would you ever think of taking part in a fan film for LOTR?

I have also never had to use an emergency shelter, earthquakes are the only really dangerous thing which occurs where I live and though a couple of them have happened while I was here nothing which required an actual dedicated shelter. I have never been on a road trip longer than 2 days.

I'm not much for acting so I don't think I'd get involved at least in front of the camera. I'm also not much skilled in the way of directing or really involved in film-making at all. I suppose if I got asked (for some strange reason) to act as some sort of lore liaison then I'd be interested but the likelihood of that is basically nil. If, like in the 2019 film Yesterday, you woke up and found out no one knew or had any record of the Lord of the Rings (or any material from Tolkien who in this alternate universe doesn't exist) would you try to write the story from memory?

I have been on a road trip longer than 2 days. I crossed Canada by train, although, technically, that would be a rail trip. I have never eaten a plantain. Are they good?

Hmm, interesting question. I would probably relate it verbally rather than write it down. I do not know if I would attempt to make money off of it. Besides, the Beatles are far easier to write about, ya ya ya. Would you like to live in one of those modern Hobbit houses.

I have - they are only good really if cooked properly (only place I've ever had them cooked right is in the Caribbean) I have never had a loaf of bread or cake collapse while baking

Ohhh absolutely honestly if I could remodel the exterior of my house to look like this and safely build in a fire place in my basement (mostly because then my whole house gets warm not just one room over heating upstairs, I absolutely would. I am working on making my yard more elven over all. If you could own any LOTR based mount what would you have IRL?

Neither have I, by virtue of not baking anything more complicated than brownies. I've never had enough bookshelf space.

Given that mount can have so many different meanings, I'm going to say if I could own Celebdil that would be pretty cool. Would anyone be up for a food based non-game/non-competition thread?

We recently doubled our bookshelves when we moved so I actually do finally have enough bookshelf space, for now. I can never keep track of a fancy pen, I always lose them.

As a lover of food and cooking I can definitely say yes I would be interested, I'm curious now what you have in mind. Would you eat a diet consisting of only (real) lembas bread if it was perfectly healthy to do so?

I can but only because the fancy pen goes nib down in the mason jar with the oil paint brushes beside the monitor so it doesn't get lost for DnD session. Which is it's only use. I have not managed to keep my piano tuned for more than a year

@Hop-Frog I know this was answered but also a hard yes from me, I was debating on making a cookbook type thread in the Shire to share and show our recipes as we make them so if you're gonna do something similar I'm down to participate...

back to Romeran now... No. I like meat. I couldn't do it even if it was healthy I adore meat too much and would get sad and die. (okay that's an exaggeration a little but not by much) Would you ever think of renovating a room in your house to look like it belonged to a major scene from Middle-earth?

As I've never owned a piano, I can say both that I've kept it in tune for much longer than a year and much less than a day. I've never been able to stay up longer than 60 straight hours.

My personal, architecture aesthetic is gothic so that doesn't really jive with anything from Middle-earth. What piece of LotR lore do you find annoying enough to throw out completely in your headcanons?

Also, for anyone interesting my kitchen RP idea is basically "what happens behind the scenes in the Imladris kitchens" and hasn't progressed much beyond that yet

I may have stayed up more than 60 hours, but that would have been 40 years ago, and I do not remember. I have never milked a cow, goat or yak.

The chapter in UT, Cirion and Eorl, can get tedious. Did the elves in Imladris grow their own food or was it just there, magically? I know they made lembas but, what about carrots?

You might jive with this, @Hop-Frog.

It was after nightfall when, wet and tired, the travellers came at last to the Brandywine, and they found the way barred. At either end of the Bridge there was a great spiked gate; and on the further side of the river they could see that some new houses had been built: two-storeyed with narrow straight-sided windows, bare and dimly lit, all very gloomy and un-Shirelike.

As a farm kid I can say I have milked a cow. I have never seen a baby cow being born.

I'm gonna go with yes, lembas is something baked so at the very least they would need to cultivate wheat to make that so why they wouldn't grow more than that is beyond me - I could see them doing a food forest rather than a standard garden I know half of my food/fruits are the sort that once they get to the point they are established I don't need to do anything at all (hardly even need to weed but that's about 5 years time) Have you ever given thought to where dwarves get their food if when they live in mountain halls?

I have never had a mango tree. I have grown an avocado from seed. But, it is not warm enough in my part of the world, and I do not have the sunny side (south-facing) of the world pour into my abode. I have never been up in a hot air balloon.

Well, yes, my son was 6 (his name was Dwill, an Ent, on OP) though it only lasted for a couple of weeks (it was summer, and he preferred to be outside). I have never been sailing either. I have never run a marathon.

Surprisingly, I have just started listening to audiobooks. I always thought I preferred a book in my hand. Not so. Audiobooks have allowed me to listen to old classics that I had never read before or read years ago. I recently enjoyed listening to Brave New World, read by Steve Parker. Do you think admins have the power to become invisible?

The mere idea of running a marathon is physically painful to me. So, no. I have never run a marathon either. I have never dyed my hair a darker color than it really is.

I do think the admins could be invisible on the site, but I don't think they should be. As for becoming invisible in real life... perhaps. Some of them. How long ago was it since you've had an EE marathon of all three LoTR movies?

I have, in high school. I also dyed it blonde and a darker shade of red (which looked the best out of all of them, since it wasn't much darker than my natural color, which is strawberry blonde). I left it alone after that and had to get Mom to cut the dyed color out once my natural color grew out enough (basically once it got to my shoulders or it would have been too short, since my hair is naturally curly and too short will make me look like a poodle dog). I haven't colored it in over thirty years! I won't go short just because I'm getting older. Time for a new trend, people!

Never! I tried watching all four discs when Fellowship of the Ring first came out, and was pretty dead on my feet the next day (was only able to get through three of them), so I'm definitely not doing all three of them! Are you excited for the new series or a bit iffy on it?

I'm quite excited for it, to be honest, but I'm generally just excited for Tolkien-related content most of the time, despite also being somewhat of a lore nerd. (Also if there's a way for us to be invis I have no idea how to do it ). Have you read the Lord of the Rings in multiple languages?

The evil characters, naturally (look at what kingdom I chose). Back when I had a thing for Thorin, I crossed over to the lighter side, but once I got over him (and the actor, though he liked one of my comments on Facebook, even though it was six years old, but I thought that was nice of him), it was back to the dark side :lightning: If you could be cast for the upcoming Amazon series, which race would you want to portray and why?

I have never been on screen on a TV show before but I’ve been in some things that have been aired on TV. I have never been in a helicopter.

I’d like to see them do the Tale of the Children of Húrin but I think it’s unlikely because it’s too much of a tragedy. But it’s quite complete as a story so they wouldn’t have to do much inventing. What is a subject/character which you wish Tolkien would have written more about?

No heights or TV celebrities for me. I stand with two feet on the ground,so no flying ever for me and sacred is my anonymity. I always hoped there was much more about the Minyár in culture and customs, songs, poetry and languages. But it isn't there. Húrin's children is tragic, but never captivated my interests.

So I will never go up in a hot air balloon, but I wonder... Would you make a try for a trip with a paraglider?
