@Mojo

I think there is one correct answer for each, but then there is like half points if you pick the funny answers, or something. Mojo will know!

I'm just going to say that last one, in Three, was quite an educational experience.

Ahh yes, there are a few questions (and responses) that require a knowledge of Early 2000s internet culture :smiley9:

I will say that there is a lot of early 2000s internet culture that I do not get because I wasn’t old enough for the internet in the early years of the 2000s.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen, but I have a reservation with the first question here.

(
Khazad-dûm lay beneath three mountains: Caradhras, Celebdil, and Fanuidhol. They are first mentioned in the chapter "The Ring Goes South"; Gimli expressly states that "under them [plural] lies Khazad-dûm". The first two both appear as potential answers here. I initially picked Caradhras since that's the most famous of the three, but after overthinking things, switched to Celebdil since the Fellowship's path, and thus most of what we see of Moria, primarily lay beneath that peak (cf. Fonstad's map; Celebdil is also mentioned in question eight as its peak is the upper end of the "Endless" Stair). Apparently, I should have stuck with my first instinct. :smiley15: But really, either answer should be correct.)

Okay, so after some consultation it appears that one of the questions had multiple answers which were in fact correct. That question has been edited so that there is only one correct answer.

There were 3 people who had guessed the second correct answer in the original question. Those 3 (@Almarëa Mordollwen @Aduchil & @Eldy Dunami ) were given an extra point by @Winddancer to correct the mistake that was made in the Quiz. All should be good now, my apologies for the confusion!

I’d say back to the books for me! The ones I’ve missed in all the knowledge halls have been “I can’t quite remember the answer, but I remember what is shown in the movie...so I’m going with that one.”

It’s not difficult with The Hobbit movies because there’s like nothing that resembles the book to me...LOTR movies always felt pretty similar and surprised how many of the smaller details they changed! :rage:

Got 9, but also got lucky on two answers I wasn't really sure on. I probably should prioritise re-reading them if things are going to carry on in this general direction.

Actually screw that, I need to not get 10, so I can be an even stevens again.

I fell behind, but just did IV. I might need to wait a bit to do V until I finish my re-read of LotR. *g*

8/10 on the Lothlorien quiz, so not too bad. Also :whip: to the genius (or insane) person for that last one. Had me stumped for awhile, but got it right.

I (horse) sweated at the prospect of a test on Rohan. Thankfully I had not forgotten the faces of my forefathers :wink: .

Looking forward to the next round of questions!

Aced it! Still stuck at uneven points, but I guess all the research about Rohan I've done over the last few days to try and create a convincing Rohir character has paid off.
