Voting is open!

If you filled in a Nomination Form via google forms, you should have received a voting ballot to your Plaza account associated email address.

I received a few errors for some of you that your email addresses were not activated. So if you expected to receive a ballot, but didn't, then please use this link to activate your email and request one: https://civs1.civs.us/cgi-bin/opt_in.pl <edit: link updated Sep 6>

If you have any problems, let me know here in this thread or email me at lotrplaza votes at gmail dot com. Questions, comments, etc. are welcome both here and/or via email.

I will aim to keep the poll open for 7-10ish days depending on how this goes. I'll update more firmly later. <edit: until September 10.</edit>

My email works, I got it for ages. What the problem is, I don't know. I don't have to activate my email. Narv used it with the April/May elections and all worked fine.

After clearance code I got this:

OH dear this is going well... ok. I sent myself a ballot as a test and it went through ok.

@Moriel - I resent yours to your plaza email address and it said you are authorized. Let me know if it worked.

awesome, no worries! good to know it is sort of working.

we'll get it all figured out, the challenge is me figuring out how the civs site works and getting the emails sent off successfully.

Found only all sorts of... unwanted mails, but not election one. But followed the link, activated myself, and did submit my votes.

That same message I got too in the beginning. Lailyn has to enter your email and then you get a mail you can vote with. That is how it was solved with me, Moriel and Chrys. The link in the toppost leads to the last elections from April-May 2023.

@Drifa - I can't actually see who has voted, only that votes have been received. I can't see results until the poll closes. so I am not sure if yours were received.

I entered your email address again and it told me you were not activated. If you didn't receive an invitation via email with Subject Line: Poll: Plaza electrions Sep 2023, I think what you need to do is:
go to this link - https://civs1.civs.us/cgi-bin/opt_in.pl

input your email address. you should receive an activation code you can enter on the page above.

once that is done, you should (hopefully) go through to the poll. Please let me know if you have problems.
