Greetings! First, I would like to thank Narv for keeping the elections going and all the members ( Aikári Salmarinian, Pele Alarion, Rillewen, Rivvy Elf, Silky Gooseness) who stepped up to take on an administrative position. Your time means a lot. It keeps this forum and Tolkien relevant. Even though we are just a tiny community on the wide world net, it matters.

As an admin, I will keep the squinty-eyed ruffians (spammers) away. I will do my best to keep the Kingdoms peaceful and in harmony. I also pledge to keep the roadways free of potholes and the skies safe for flight for eagles, civilized dragons, and other fair-feathered creatures alike. I will keep the OOME respectful and Lore from boiling over. Lastly, I will lower taxes on ale throughout Middle-earth so we all can have a jolly old time while keeping the dream alive.

Thank you for considering me, a fanatic at heart, for the position.

Hello everyone. So, I've been nominated many times for this, and I don't normally bother putting in an info thingy here. But this time I figure, why not.

I don't know if I'm admin material or not, but I am on the plaza pretty much every waking moment of every day, so, at least you know I'd be around if you need help. I'm not the best at checking everything on the plaza, to be quite honest. I mostly live in the RP side of things, in fact I'm not even sure if anyone's even active anywhere else, but I'm willing to do whatever admin responsibilities are required, and I am constantly on Discord and in contact with others who have been admins in the recent past.

I do always try to be nice to everyone, and to handle situations as kindly and diplomatically as I know how, and to treat everyone with fairness and respect.

I would also love to see the plaza increase in activity, maybe bring back some of those long-lost members who sailed across the sea to Valinor.. aka gotten lost in the realm known as "real life", but I'm not sure if that is a hopeless quest. Anyway, as I am no sailor, nor a ship-builder, we may have to settle for simply trying to find new members who are interested. It would be so nice to see more activity in more of the RP kingdoms, though. (still not sure what goes on in other parts of the plaza)

Anyway! Back to the topic.. if I were admin, I'll do my very best at being a good one, and hopefully wouldn't make anyone regret having voted for me lol. So, while I haven't ever asked to be nominated for this position, I hope that if I'm elected, I might bring something good and useful to the admin team. And I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! Fair as the Sea and the Sun and the Snow upon the Mountain! Dreadful as the Storm and the Lightning! All shall love me and despair!

Seriously though, with the ring of adminning in my grasp.. it would be a chance for Rillewen, RPer of the Plaza, to show her quality. I would try to make sure it would be of the very finest. Thank you for reading :D

Reasons to vote for me:
I don't mind Gronding and banning spammers.
I like being direct. Don't mind being curt and to-the-point when necessary.
There's a difference between me as a poster and me as an admin as many of you can tell.
I don't need a VPN to access the plaza, since I'll be in China a lot.

Reasons to NOT vote for me:
I've recently become a 40% owner of a Chinese tech start-up, so my attention will be focused on that.
I'm currently writing manuscripts, which will consume much of my remaining focus.
If I'm not admin, then I can be a lot more vocal in lore and criticizing shows without fearing that the writers are members or observers of the plaza.
I haven't read a lot of plaza posts recently except for the spam.
I like being direct. Don't mind being curt and to-the-point when necessary.
There's a difference between me as a poster and me as an admin as many of you can tell.

Hello everyone! I have had a lovely break from the site (and adminning) but hopefully most of you will remember me and my shenanigans. If you’d like me back I will be a) chilling b) taking no prisoners c) making stuff up, in no particular order. Geese out!

Also, I'm adding a poll here which I'll keep open while we run the actual admin vote - I'd like to get people's thoughts on how many admins you think is the right number for the site at this point. We used to have 5 back in the wild lockdown days, and have had 3 since.. 2022 maybe? And these days the site is a little smaller still. So we could consider trying out a 2-admin term (with me as a kinda tiebreak vote in case of disagreement, but with the caveat that I'm still mostly tech support and not likely to be involved in much if any admin-ing). Or if people are good with the status quo of 3 elected admins, I'm down with that too. AND if anyone has some out of the box ideas in this regard, I always love a good "other" vote + comment.


Anyway, that's it for the moment, but I'll be putting together the ranked-choice ballot shortly and will add the link here as soon as it's ready. Please post any questions and let me know if I've forgotten / messed anything up as usual!
