Because it needs to be posted because I am still not over the fact Sean Bean survived Jupiter Ascending with a fight scene.

I mean I know this is saying it's from the UK... But honestly that MIGHT have been me. I was watching the trilogy on repeat on Netflix to try to get them to bring the EE's onto the canadian version.
I also was doing a lot of sewing and was having it as background noise.

@Fuin Elda I like to watch them as background noise too, but not sure about over 300 times in one year. heh.
I can't believe PJ left out one of the books chief characters.

I mean, it's a legit question. Who IS Tom Bombadil, really?
And the 300 times thing is seriously impressive, but it's less impressive if it's not the extended editions...

Tom Bombadil not in the movies: "Ah man, PJ left out Tom Bombadil."
Tom Bombadil in the movies: "CAN YOU BELIEVE WHAT PJ DID TO TOM BOMBADIL AAAAAAAAA;OIWOUHW987Y34TOJBSDFKJCVBLIHER4O9HQ34TJNSFDGPIUHWR"
After Faramir, the Scouring, and numerous smaller outrages, I'm thankful it's the former.

@Wamba_the_Fool yes I definitely fall into the thankful it's the former category.
But now we should all agree that Sam was the "true" hero. Maybe if someone was unfamiliar with the books they were hoping for this ending?

An old meme format for an old plaza (in spirit):

Happy birthday JRR Tolkien!

(Although I don't think I'd consider this a nice present)

I think it would be difficult to disagree with the above meme. On the other hand, when memes get spicy and hard to read because they are crammed with text:

Hey now @KingODuckingham... They didn't get all the way to the Gap of Rohan. Although, I do wonder sometimes -- if they'd taken that route, might they not have made it to the ford before Theodred fell? What might have happened then?
Re: Hard truths

by Boromir88
Well, I think Boromir would have likely read the Silm battles and probably about Turin, but he certainly would have skipped the Music, the chapters about Elves and the Akallabeth.
Still reasonably accurate as far as memes go...Denethor did have a blind spot named Boromir.

Uhhh yeah this meme isn't funny but as a format it feels like the most fitting to belong in a thread called "hard truths"

A few fantastic memes that were lost to the blip.

Me when my family tries to tell me my niece is saying things that she wants. (she is not it's gibberish they just know what she wants because they know her cries and noises lol)

Love it a just question indeed
@Boromir88 The answer is 'probably eating and smoking pipeweed. Possibly brewing and drinking ale.'
So I love the gender swapping of this one and then I got to Legolas and lost it.
Also yes me and my hobbity self when I stop myself from over eating so I will lose weight.

I am glad someone else noticed the blatant Hamfast erasure. Though I'm not sure he's actually a 'cool' dad. He did raise an awesome son though so does that count enough or would Hamfast also be a dick?

So I have found a bunch of memes but they are heading towards R rated in terms of what they say... I may censor the cursing so that I can post them on here as a lot are great but the cursing takes them out of the realm of this forum atm.
This one though... This is elven trolling at it's finest.

Found this while scrolling through pages yesterday. With the jingle...
"Jingle bells,
Sauron smells,
Gandalf knows the way,
Elves and Men shall battle hordes,
While Hobbits save the day!"
I hope everyone's having a happy a safe holiday season.

that's hilarious jingle wise, sadly the image isn't showing anymore but I'm sure it was fantastic.
This is a bit of a sadder note mostly because of Betty White, but still made me smile especially with the timing. I suppose I should warn you there is cursing.

@Boromir88 I got to see this one and I'm pretty sure it's because you are pulling off if Facebook which tends to cycle and change their links regularly.. I tend to download my memes and trip to Imgur. Love the pasketti meme though.

Ohhh absolutely an excellent use of it. I hope personally hope it's wrong in the end, but I know there are certainly going to be people that are going to hate on it no matter how faithful the parts of it that are not being created by the writers will be.
Sp there are frighteningly fewer memes on my phone for there should be at the moment (more will come but not for a while at this rate lol)

@Fuin Elda that’s perfect.

That’s my phone and I have Theoden’s attitude. Friends who don’t even particularly enjoy LOTR will send me LOTR memes for later use, just because they know I’m a Tolkien nerd. “More will come” indeed, like this one:

@Boromir88 I feel like given how long most movies were in his lifetime the longest film was Ben Hur I feel like almost 12 hours would quite possibly impress him actually. But it's a pittance compared to Tolkien wrote for certain
Honestly I am not sure if this is in fact something that is true then it is something that is even funnier.
