Tercen
Third Circle, a tavern
December 29th, evening
"Gladly," he responded while putting his own glass down and leading her onto the dance floor right when the notes of a not as slow song started making their way through the tavern. "Let's give them more reasons than our good looks to be jealous," he smirked, before starting them off on a more complicated dance. A bit more slowly, at first, to see whether Ava had learned this one, as well. As soon as Tercen realized that she was in fact quite aware of the steps, he grinned and started them off in earnest. "What a wonder you are," he rumbled close to her ear, as they came close together during one of the moves, and before they stepped farther away again and turned around each other smoothly. "You do not like to do things half-way, do you, Temptress?"
The dance was over far too soon to his liking, but the next song was something more upbeat, and they sailed through that one just as easily, making Tercen's eyes twinkle with mirth as they danced together. He was quite enjoying the usual male role of showing off the lady, and when the music slowed down again after that, he pulled Ava close against him, causing more than a few pairs of eyes to linger upon them. He didn't care.

Arnyn

"He is," she agreed about Trastion being a nice guy. "He has incredible potential."
The conversation between them died a little, then, leaving them both alone with their thoughts, but still holding onto each other in the dance. The limited twirling suited Arnyn much more than Gladhron could realize, given her unsteady head and feet, and allowed her to pretend she was perfectly fine. By the time the music picked up, she had almost forgotten about her disposition, and grinned when Gladhron twirled her several times, realizing how badly she was feeling only the the end of the last one. He caught her perfectly, however, and she managed not to stumble - and then he immediately led her into a dance she'd had no idea of expectation for him to know about.
He didn't catch her as unaware, this time, because it was a dance that mostly required for her to follow the lead without having to know things like that she was supposed toraise her arms out of the blue, for instance. And once she recognized it, she easily fell into its pattern. Just how much, though, had Gladhron been practicing? And was it really all for the enjoyment of learning how to dance? Or had he wanted to learn several things before coming out here, tonight? Arnyn remembered him being very self-conscious about not knowing much, at the masquerade, and not wanting to bother any ladies when he didn't know much beyond the basic slow steps and twirl. Yet he seemed to have somehow solved that problem, in the span of little more than a week. He should even have no trouble dancing with anyone else, like this! Just how much had Tercen managed to teach him?
A little speechless, Arnyn just focused on the dancing, which proved far more difficult than she would like. Her face clearly showed her surprise, however, when Gladhron managed to lead her through a less complicated version of what Tercen was doing with Ava. For not one, but two melodies, even. When the music slowed next, and he led her into a slow dance, a respectful distance between them, Arnyn stared at Gladhron in disbelief. "Well. So much for not knowing how to dance," she said quietly. Now finally being offered a reprieve from the faster and more energy-consuming dances, she was leaning onto him more heavily than was to be expected without her realizing she was doing so.
