@Lady of Shadow You told me to poke you here. Honestly not sure how much I'd be able to play in the Army thread in here, simply because I am not actively a part of it, so perhaps Free RP might be best in terms of accessibility, though in Mordor I am not sure where any of my characters in particular would come in in regards to what you've suggested as a story line so far... Do you have a specific plan for her escape that I could work around or is she helped to escape?

@Fuin Elda @Lady of Shadow if your story has anything at all to do with the army, feel free to use the army thread for it. You dont have to be IN it to use it :) Thought I would let you know, sorry for butting in!

To my esteemed minions A question: If Mordor had a Black Library where a certain Evil Librarian™ worked where would that library most likely be located? Barad-dûr, Umbar, Minas Morgul? Or all 3 cause why not have branches in all 3 cities

I would think where Sauron was, imo.

Oh! I get to put on my "I'm going to be going back to school soon to study library science" shirt again!

Barad-dûr - I would assume they have something more akin to an archive, just records of accounting, law briefs, etc that aren't open to the "general public"
Umbar - Umbar would absolutely have a public library in my opinion, perhaps even two given the population size as a human capital and trading center
Minas Morgul - as a former sister city of Minas Tirith, I think they would have had one at one point but it might have been converted into a much more private, exclusive specialty library for the higher ups like the Nazgûl to study occult stuff

and because now that I'm on a roll, I might as well continue with my completely biased and, probably, uninformed opinion
Angmar - same as Minas Morgul I think, exclusive, private, and very specialized that might also double as an archive for record keeping
Dol Guldur - honestly this one I'm not sure of, they might have had something Khamûl and Sauron before had for personal use but nothing public

This is of course, my own headcanon and can easily be proven to be biased and inaccurate by someone with more lore knowledge than myself

Awesome headcanons there Frost! I was aiming for a more specialised library/archive with restricted access that contained rare manuscripts and incunabula. The ones if you are allowed to enter you need to sign forms with your blood in triplicate and if you look at a manuscript wrongly or even breathe inappropriately near one you will be gutted and your entrails will be used for auguring

Well I already have my two character, Mauren and Uthurg stuck at Minas Morgul twiddling their thumbs, not knowing what to do. My last post their was literally padding :/

Are you waiting on someone specific? If not, people might not know you want they to interact with you :) Try getting some interest here: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=196 Let us know what you are trying to rp and I am sure people will join in :)

Echoing Windy, was there something you wanted to do with your characters? I'd be willing to help out in terms of creating a story or helping you advance an arc you already had in mind.

@The King in Yellow Actually I was thinking maybe Mauren and Uthurg could go out spying somewhere, and maybe even interact with someone's character(s)

Hello everyone! I was (quite) active at the old Plaza for a while. First in Gondor, then in Mordor mostly. Haven't seen myself in any of the surviving archive threads unfortunately, but I recognized a lot of the names and topics like Lava Snake Racing, which I think I ran for a while actually... Anyway, I'm still evil at heart, hopefully all of you wretched souls are as well.
