I'm not sure if this was specifically requested, but topic icons (which previously were only enabled in KD because dwarves really need to emote on their forum topics) should not display as wonkily anymore, and are now an option for new topics in all fora. Let us know if they continue to show up weird or in unexpected places.

Welcome, lovely! Thanks for doing SO MUCH archive crawling that you need two separate Ruler icon threads!

16+ years of plaza life resulted in too many rulers for one thread. It's not just me spreading out!

Is there a way to resize images using bbcode on the plaza? I would much rather not have to go and resize images before uploading them to imgbb. All too often I have tried to post a photo and it is ridiculously huge.

*Grumbles about having to resize everything on the computer first*

Well, at least we've both figured that out. And hopefully something can easily be added to allow it.

I haven't been able to figure out a way to resize them within BB code, and I tried for a whole evening once as @Burnt Toast can attest XD

We can look into whether that's something we can customize. In the meantime, I'd recommend flickr as a free image host that offers several size options for sharing uploaded photos, or yeah ... just resize them before uploading.

@Dimcairien Luiniel and anyone else who was hoping to be able to resize images - I've added some custom code to allow this. It's the new "img-resize" bbcode option in the post box and should be used thusly:
WIDTH is a number in pixels, URL is an image URL same as always

Note though that images cannot be stretched wider than the post content box at a given screen width

I've tested it a bit locally but please let me know if it doesn't work at any point

Editing to add a couple examples:

Can you screenshot that? As in go to edit and show what you get there? Cause I am pretty sure you should be able to. @Tarawen

If you go to edit any post, there should be a subject line that appears above the main text box. For most posts on the Plaza, changing this does nothing since individual post titles aren't displayed. But if you edit the first post in a thread, changing the subject line should change the overall thread title. Example:

Well yes I see that, but the last time I tried it it didn't work, so I assumed I didn't have the power.

Clearly something went wrong last time, and it's working now. No need to bother @Tarawen, ok @Tarawen?
