Excellent! Glad to be welcome. :smiley8: That was way back in my very earliest Plaza days! I think we must have gotten a friendly annulment or something?
Never fear, Narv, you do not have to fear my dredging because I am sure old Lailposts are equally as embarrassing and I shall let it all remain in the old corners of the internet where it belongs! In fact, I have seen a couple of my own old posts already that made me cringe.

Now some might say, sure, maybe you warmed us, but wouldn't some warning have been better? And to them I say, probably

I'm really glad this is back on the first page, because this old place, where one- (maybe two-) line messages abound has always been a nice anchor to the site. I can recommend it as a good spot for the well-meaning-but-unfortunately-sporadic-hearted.

Just happened to be passing by, so just thought I'd drop in to one of my old favourite haunts. Hope everyone is doing well on this fine Irish-y day

I'm really glad to hear things are going well for you! Unfortunately I've been in a bit of a rough patch lately, so positive news about people I know is great.
And I think (hope
) I'm in the process of turning things around. Being back on the Plaza (and a couple other forums) has proven to be an effective way of distracting myself from negative thoughts, plus it's always good to reconnect with people. And at the end of this month I'm gonna spent a week with friends in California who I haven't seen in person since 2019, which I'm really looking forward to.

Sorry to hear you've been having a bit of a tough time lately. I hope you have a wonderful week in California and that that helps continue the trend of turning things around

. I still haven't quite got over the thrill of seeing people in person again. I'm visiting some family in Wales the weekend after next. We haven't seen any of them since December 2019 and I simply can't wait. Will be particularly strange seeing my baby cousin who was 19 months when I last saw him, and was just about beginning to totter around the place, and is now just a few months away from starting school. I swore as a kid that I'd never be that boring adult commenting on how much someone has grown since I last saw them... but it's going to be hard to resist.
