In the beginning, there was Eru, the One, although he was then known as Philip J Kooijman and he made the first icons for all beings.

In a brief flash of creative excitement, he made helpers. Well, two helpers and a Lord of Chaos.

And the next month, he made more!



But Oromë said, 'Lo, @Peeg can make prettier things!'

And so it went on, with every new admin having their own unique icon ... except Mandos, for some reason.

You can see I still have some gaps in DATES, and maybe I am missing entire admins from the REGIONS period, but I can only know that if you tell me! I know I do have some of the dates here in this thread, so as I work through this, I will update this post.

Once again requesting your help, building upon the work of others in the Icon Workshop thread ... as with the previous thread all about rulers and their icons, this one is all about the admin and maiar icons and their wearers.

Now, in the Icon Workshop thread, Sil and Moriel posted giant composite pictures of the icons which have SO many more icons than I currently possess. Mostly this is because they were too small and resizing them just made them exceedingly horrible. It means that I'm missing a ton of icons though - see below:



I'd like the originals, if we can find them - otherwise, we'll just live without (or with a smaller version, I suppose).

Unused/icons we don't know who had them ...


Obviously, I've added in the names I think - but I'm open to correction! :smiley8:

@Lailyn I'm somewhat decent at remembering colours, and I was certain halfir had a very green icon at one point, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that.

Yeah I have a pretty visual memory and its weird I remember a lot of who wore these.
I also recall Bearamir wearing A24 but what I can't recall is whether Bearamir and Baelmyrrdn were the same person with a name change or not... I guess I don't remember names as well as pictures, though.

Here's my Nerdanel icon. I'll have to get back to you on dates...

Mhmmm - I wasn't sure if it was purple enough!! I just hoped, because I don't have the more purple icons at the right size/quality.

I know that Vana, but I only have the poor small .jpg of it. If it eats birds, then maybe it doesn't deserve resurrection.

Thanks for doing all this, @Lirimaer! It looks like you missed adding Tarawen as Tinfang (M13). She held the rank from Mar. 2012-Jan. 2013.

M11--I would have been Rian in late 2006 to early 2007, it wasn't a very long tenure. Also, someone was Rian before me (I think directly before me) because I never had my own icon, only used theirs. I'm trying to find it in my old computer. I'll post if I am successful!

EDIT: I have delved into the depths of ancient history and discovered it! Plus a random tribute rank I guess I was awarded, in case that's useful somewhere! (pretty sure it was also a Cottage trib rank)

Psst @Lirimaer - they were lore Stewards. I believe Saranna’s rank was Lúthien. Troelsfo was also a steward but I don’t remember his icon of the top of my head.

I've been Witchking and Thranduil as ruler and Ulmo as admin. Cannot remember the dates, nor do I have the icons saved somewhere unfortunately.

@Idesinholde Ahhhh, I wonder if I can remember where I was when I saw you ... I take it your icon was different to the ones in the OP?

I think we have your Thranduil in the Rulers thread. Can you check if one of the minion icons was you? (Also, I'm assuming this was all in the Regions time? Or were you a minion before?)
