"New-built it was, yet very old,
white, and thatched with straws of gold,
and pierced with peeping lattices
that looked toward the sea;
and our own children's garden-plots
were there: our own forget-me-nots"

A few requests:
- Mark working links as Visual Arts, Written Arts, Other Media, or General (or other relevant sub-forum if I'm forgetting something). I'll add them here as we go.
- I wouldn't mind the OP month and year either.

- Tag thread-runners/owners if you know they're on NuPlaza.
- Let me know if you'd like a personal art thread of yours removed from this archive.

@merSILess In that Sonnet school I very rudely did not answer your question. So, if you haven't found out already in the intervening almost six years:
To "grok" is to truly understand something. Emphasis on the "truly."
So in the last line of the sonnet,
I'll grok this form - on this my mind is set!
the author is declaring his determination to not only learn the form rudimentally, or basically, or even "pretty good," but so thoroughly and deeply that he can compose said sonnets expertly and with little effort, and also teach others to do the same.
(But did that actually happen?)
History/etymology: Heinlein invented it.
