I Have Never...

And of old it was not darksome, but full of light and splendour, as is still remembered in our songs.

I have shaved my head before, in a very ill-advised attempt to change styles. I have never put up Halloween decorations.

That's a tough one. Ossë on the one hand and Arien on the other. I think I'll go with water because of my love of sailing epics. What author's style do you find yourself emulating, consciously or unconsciously, when you are writing?

I used to decorate when my kids were younger, and I have always enjoyed creating costumes for myself, but now not so much. I mostly make a Halloween playlist. I have never used a so-called 'smoker.'

I am not a writer with style, but if I had to say an author who has helped me with grammatical purposes, I would have to go with Tolkien. If you are watching the new series, The Rings Of Power, who would you add to the storyline?

Nah I'm more of a gummies girl if I'm gonna smoke anything (though I do take the odd puff of a Cohiba when offered or I remember my stash I bought from Cuba) I have never finished writing a story I created a world map for

Celeborn. The poor bastard. Preferably sans Pompedour. When you write do you see what you're writing in images before you put it down, or just plain words/ideas to be transcribed?

I don't suppose I have either, I sort of just reuse bits and bobs for the next go 'round. I have never been to an art gallery.

Images, sounds, and smells for the most part. If there were to be another audiobook narration of the Silmarillion to be released, who would you like to see (well, hear)?

I have never been to an art gallery, either. I have never danced the rumba.

I think Stefan Rudnicki would do a fine job. Did you ever have the opportunity to watch, The Lord of the Rings, a 1978 American animated fantasy film directed by Ralph Bakshi? And if so, what made you laugh the most?

I have when I was younger I had a weird obsession with learning different dances. I have never been on a helicopter ride

This is going to sound horrible but how Legolas very very much confused about being anywhere in the film... probably the crossed eyes. What animals would you cast as the different races in Middle Earth?

Also @Drifa you made a comment on Osse and Uinen being water spirits a while back yes they are however I said elf elementals (Like Feanor being the Spirit of Fire)

I have never been on a helicopter ride, either. I have never been on an airboat (also known as a plane, swamp, bayou, or fan boat).

If anyone has ever watched the animated Walt Disney movie Bambie, I would say deer, skunks and rabbits would make controversial speaking animals. And snakes. And coming back to elf elementals from Fuin's earlier post, do you think Fëanor was a true fire spirit or just a passionate, quick-tempered, genius elf?

@Fuin Elda Yeah, you're correct. I misread your post. And speaking of misread posts, , when I stated that I never used a 'smoker' in an early post, I was not referring to a hash pipe or hooka. I was referring to a type of BBQ - Smoker -

I haven't been on any airboats either. I have never successfully curled my tongue.

I think Fëanor was the latter. Would you watch a hobbit sitcom set in Bree?

I don't even know what this means so probably not? I have never been to the East Coast of North America

Probably not I find comedies painful to watch so I tend to avoid them. Would you watch a TV or movie series of the Silmarillion (Primarily focusing around the Silmarils and those events?)

I haven't travelled outside Europe, so no coasts of North America whatsoever. I have never attempted parkour.

I have attempted parkour. Although, I think I called it cross-country running. If you could have seen the trail I used for it, @Pele Alarion, I am sure you would have enjoyed it. I used to run it. It had many huge and smaller rocks you could jump to as you run. It had a steady incline that felt like you were climbing the trail from start to finish. A the top was a small lake. I have never driven a go-kart.

I have a whole file filled with poetry, post and art that I have never posted—especially Word Sleuth games. If you were a Harfoot, what would you tie in your hair?

I would tie willow leaves for sures. If you were any animal of M-e is where would you like to live?

Has anyone played a DnD game to campaign completion? It seems like such a legend. I have played some quite extended campaigns, to be fair--got a party from level 1 to around 14. I have never composed a song.

Depends on the animal--obvious choice for a horse would be Rohan, f.e. If I were a worm, though, I'd probably want to live in the Shire fields or somesuch. Do you use your plaza name for other usernames or is it unique?

I have never composed a song either. I have never dyed my hair an unnatural color

The only other place I use it is on Discord, but before that, it was pretty unique, since I first thought of it when I signed up for theOneRing.com, but that account got deleted from lack of activity. When I signed up for a new account, I used a different username (Lady_of_Darkness, which is also my username on Council of Elrond). On a similar note; how many times have you changed your username since joining NuPlaza?

Depends on how serious the change. Once, from Pelepele to Pele Alarion, and perhaps twice or so for silly purposes. Share something embarrassing you have done on the Plaza, if you dare!

I have rowed a boat before, though it's not a regular activity of mine. I have never had a yahoo email.

I used to be embarrassingly interested in becoming a ruler of a kingdom. Glad I never was, I'm a total flake (obviously). Ever run a whole RP by yourself, playing all characters?

Neither have I really, though I wouldn't mind! I have never been in Australia.

Mine is what dad used to call me - "Pele" or a mouse in Latvian. Alarion came after the first newbie RP when a bunch of us decided to form a plaza family. What is your favourite plaza memory?

I haven't been to Australia either, indeed, never off my home continent. I have never touched an elephant.

Hard to choose! I particularly enjoyed RPing the hired "entertainment" for Trillian's clothing store when Sil crashed the thread. Things got wild. Has your main plaza character ever flown on an Eagle?

I have never touched a live elephant. They are one of my most favorite creatures,😊. I have never thrown three triple 19s playing darts.
My main character has never flown on an eagles back. What is the most outrageous thing your character has done? (I had Drifa rping as a ballerina 😸)

I've only played darts a couple times, and no good at that. I have never been to a proper ball dressed in an evening gown.

Ballerina? Hahaha... Pele once tossed a loaf of bread at contestants in Campian. What are some of the people that are no longer here/have not been here for a while that you miss a lot?

Why have you never read The Hobbit? I have read it several times. I have never read The Silmarillion from front to back in one session.

My most memorable event was becoming a dwarf, joining the Ankixog and writing "ai" in all my posts. If you played riddle games, which kingdom/thread did you visit the most?

I did read the Silmarillion once. Well, properly. I still like LOTR much better... I have never watched all Hobbit movies.

I'm no good at riddles, so haven't really played those. What are some of the things you are most proud of on the plaza (something you or other have done, etc.)?

I have watched all The Hobbit movies, but it was under duress. My husband had me tied to a chair. And all though I called out multiple times to be released so I did not have to watch wizards drive sleds pulled by rabbits and dwarves ride wild boar, he would not release me.  I have never seen a live owl in the wild.

I still have beautiful banners I have made in the past for the plaza/forum, and I am proud of my work. Who would you be if you had to choose between being a wizard or an elf?

Currently I am down with a painful sprain in the biceps femoris muscle (left leg) caused by my lower back. I knew my body would backfire on me, but never expected in this way, so I would be limping for a while.

Still got to travel between Rotterdam and Dordrecht on foot and by train. Would you do it too if you would have been me for your dear mom or dad in a care home?

Hi @Saranna and Aiks! The gest of the game started back on the old Plaza by Brandybuck.

GAME
Okay, this is how it works.
Someone posts that they have never done something. If the next Poster has done it, they say, "Yes, I've done it," If they have not, they say, "No, I have not done it. Then you add your own "I have never...."
You must also ask a Plaza-related question, and the next Poster must answer your question (with a bit of detail, please), and then they ask a Plaza question, and so on.

Examples:
1st Poster
I have never been to South Africa.
I have never been to the Market in Gondor.

2nd Poster
I have never been to South Africa, either. I have never gone skydiving.
Yes, I have been to the Gondor Market. The Grocer didn't have any gluten-free bread. Have you ever RP with Finduilas Faelivrin?

3rd Poster
I have never gone skydiving, but I have been scuba diving. I have never touched a live bat.
I have never RP with Finduilas Faelivrin, but I have participated in some non-RP threads with her. I have never RPed an Orc on the Plaza, have you?

4th Poster
I have touched a live bat. The fur was amazingly soft. I have never eaten rabbit meat.
I have never RPed an orc on Plaza. I have always played a dwarf. Have you ever participated in a Word Sleuth Match?

You can add comments to your posts, but you must follow the examples.

I cannot say as I have ever made lasagna properly speaking, though I have cooked store-bought lasagna. Does that count? I have never had a daughter.

I have not GMed a very successful RP on the plaza--I mostly ran games, and the RPs I tried to run were short-lived. I have GMed a few years' worth of what I considered successful Pathfinder though. Did you ever run afoul of the rules on the ancient plaza unawares?

I've spent a night in a tree-house, although I guess it depends on how you define "tree house" a tree made up part of the foundation of the little play house thing that my friend had as a kid but there was also a swing set and stuff. It wasn't like up in the middle of a tree but it was up above ground. I have never visited a country in the Asia continent.

TEN YEARS? Honestly I really like the shiny-movy ones so honestly I'd probably pick either the penultimate Gondor one or the last Wizard one. Do you RP outside of the Plaza? Like tabletop RPGs, video game RPGs etc?

I have never eaten caviar. But I have been to a disco. Do they still have discos?

Well, it would depend on which media I was brought before him. In the movie adaption, I would ensure I had an extra large napkin to offer him when he has tomato running down his chin. In the book scene, I am just a plain human; I cannot sing a note, so I would probably listen to Gandalf carefully and sit quietly until spoken to. Neither have I (since I've never been to Europe). I've never had a sibling (only child, here)

The only thing I can recall is on the Old Plaza during one of Mordor's Sr. Drill team competitions held in Imladris. I mentioned that the brightness of Imladris was hurting Naelia's eyes (since she's a minion and prefers the darkness). Still makes me laugh. Have you ever brought one of your characters back from the dead only to make their lives a living hell by one of your other characters?

I have. We took my grandmother to one when she was still alive (she almost made it to 97, but died about a month before her birthday last year) and I won $15.00! Not bad for a beginner! I have never had any children (seriously)

@Drifa yes, Naelia constantly tortures her half-sister, Lathana, mostly because she doesn't co-operate and she finds her to be a bit of a nuisance. Since Naelia often shuns her Elvish heritage, and Lathana is what you would call a true Elf (unlike Naelia, whose only 1/4 Elven, and 3/4 Black Numenorean), I think she sees it as some kind of revenge against the Elven race for treating her badly when she was forced to live with them for a time against her will (check her bio in Mordor. I recently put one up for Lathana as well, since she's becoming more of a regular character)

Back on topic, I only used Lisa Winchester once in a Halloween game. I created a profile for her on RP Repository by haven't used her yet. Did you participate in any Word Sleuth game on either the Old Plaza or this Nu One?

I have been in a speed boat. When I was young, the lake where our summer cottage was located had many fast and slow boats. Today I would rather have a lake with no motorboats. I have never touched a live chicken.

I mentioned the Nuplaza to one person, but they were not interested. I have not kept in touch with the old plaza folk I was acquainted with. Did you ever participate in Hoppit Darts, and were you a player or a victim?

I have never handled real gold, either. I have thought, though, that it would have been interesting to pan for gold and find a nugget. I have never ridden in a horse-drawn vehicle.

I have let my real-life emotions flow on the plaza, mostly in frustration. We do not all think alike. I find playing in Tolkien's Middle-earth challenging lately. Have you ever experienced this?

Yikes, no! What if he takes his clothes/robe off, and he is all bones and has no nose, and bone worms are crawling through him?? I would rather be a fly on the wall in, let us say, some tall blonde Northman's abode, eh? When you make up RP characters, do you create names with meaning or just random made-up words that become names?

Neither have I, though I have worn the odd floor length Halloween costume, but I'm not sure if that would count as "formal", since it's a costume, not any kind of ballroom dress. I have never, nor will I ever keep a diary or a journal (I don't see the point of it, and I'd rather keep my thoughts and feelings private, thank you very much)

Neither. For some of my Tolkien characters, I went to a name generator site like Seventh Sanctum (Naelia and Lathana); others, what my name would be if I were a Hobbit/Elf/Dwarf/Wizard/Human (Elanor Starsley) and others just names I like. I even have a few characters with my real first name (Lisa Winchester, only daughter of Sam Winchester and Eileen Leahy and younger sister to Dean Winchester the second. Named after Lisa Braeden, one of her late uncle's former flames and Dr. Lisa Donovan, a Volcanologist in Costa Rica, orignally from Naples, Italy. She's the aunt of Charles Donovan, Chloe Sanderson's late boyfriend who died in a helicopter accident on Isla Nublar). I named one of my newest characters (Chloe Sanderson) after a video game character (Chloe Frazer from the Uncharted series). Have you created any new characters since joining NuPlaza?

I have written diaries - or something like that - occasionally, then given up, and written again, etc, etc. I have never had a bird poop on my head (only on my arm once).

Not sure, perhaps one or two, most have been dug out from someplace hidden under dust. Have you ever pulled a prank on some plaza folk, or even one of them?

I am not sure if it was a bird or a bat. It was early evening after my high school graduation. We all walk down to the local cab stand planning on piling into a car and heading to a classmate's cottage. As I stood waiting with the others while the fee and arrangements were being worked out, I felt something warm and wet slide down the side of my head and onto my shoulder. Then what a stink! I was banned from boarding the cab with my friends and had to go home wash and change missing the cab ride and the goofy comradery. But I did get there thanks to my wonderful Dad. ❤️ I have never eaten frog legs. I hear they taste like chicken.

I may or should have, but really, I can not remember. Do you think it is strange that Tom Bombadil has stairs in his house? If so, why?
