How to best combine democracy with the spirit of surprise?
We thought we’d open up a thread so people can come up with ideas and bounce them around, for Hallowe’en themes, icons, games etc. The previous Hallowe’en icons are being collected in the Cottage here

Hard to make a suggestion that isn't kingdom-themed, but I trust you guys with whatever your sneaky surprise is.

An Ent needs time to contemplate this. Are you looking for non-kingdom themed, but whole Plaza-wide ideas?

That would be a throwback, as I think there are some icons that look like those elves in the Halloween thread. Edit: Or maybe not, but there are a bunch of odd elf icons for 2004 Rivendell.
And yes, Rohan should be My Little Pony.

Any. Either. It’s so easy to switch kingdoms and ranks now anyway, we were assuming there would be a free for all.

I think the colossal effort of making new Halloween icons for every kingdom is a greater task than anyone should have to bear. So my idea (if we are going to have different icons for Halloween) would be for everyone to choose their own icon from the compiled collection of past Halloween icons in the linked thread. Basically the admins would open a thread for people to request their choice from the collection, and then upon request, it would be done!

They’d have to be individually uploaded for every person, Dwim, so I’m not certain if that’s easier.

Seeing as some of us had some pretty passionate feelings about Disney characters (Character Elim Game... RIP Rapunzel
) - I'll propose Disney characters. There's be a lot of options beyond the old classics since Disney is now seeking world domination... And we might be able to re-use some old icons dredged out of the archives, which would save people some time and effort.

After long and careful thought I have realized what I most desire is to cosplay Seto Kaiba and/or his Blue Eyes White Dragon for Plazaween. I would be willing to take on all challengers in a d-d-d-d-duel in the form of a children's card game thread too.

I'll second @Sil Denafil's suggestion of a Studio Ghibli theme, with the hope that it includes characters from Isao Takahata's filmography (and maybe even Whisper of the Heart) as well as Miyazaki's. 
(Please let Princess Kaguya be one of the first eight ranks in one Kingdom. )
