The Great Library Maze - Halloween Game

This game has been created for you by @Sillentretenmerth and run by @I Said What I Said
It's late, it's getting dark you've been looking for a book for a crusty old wizard for a while now and you've got some words for whoever installed the shelves in this library that's for certain.
As you search for a way out you can hear a rustling from and at first you call out hoping that it is some other person that might help you find your way out, instead though you hear only more rustling... And you remember the warning from the head librarian that you must be on the look out for bookworms... You'd thought it a joke but apparently they were dead serious, collect as many out of place books as you can and get out - hopefully alive.
You may only pick up each book once.
If you find a bookworm your fate will be decided by the dice. If you can't escape or you will need to sacrifice a book or books to escape.
If you have no books to feed it - it will eat you.
If you manage to kill the bookworm you reclaim a book that the beast ate.
Please bold which direction you choose to go from the options given to you at the bottom of your post.
The person that escapes with the most books wins, if you escape...
To begin, please RP starting to look for the exit and choosing to go either FORWARD or RIGHT

Talina didn't know how she got talked into this, but here she was, in one of Gondor's libraries looking for a certain book for a crusty old wizard. It was so late that she didn't even know if it was Gandalf that gave her the task. Since she was residing in Ithilien at the time the wizard gave her the task, she first had to find a way to get back to Gondor and the library in question. "I don't remember this particular library the last time I was in Gondor... " the wannabe Ranger wondered when she first arrived, trying to find a way out of the library, since the tome Gandalf or whoever the salty old wizard was that asked her to look for continued to elude her. "I should have written down the title." Talina thought to herself as every corner she turned in the library seemed to get the wannabe Ranger more hopelessly lost...
Let's try going FORWARD, please

@Lady of Shadow You wander between the narrow aisle of books for a little bit, occasionally the skittering and rustling sounds get louder and get quieter as you move along, you come to the end of this portion of the path and can turn RIGHT or LEFT, or you may go BACK the way you came.
Sorry for the delay - was doing last minute convention prep and then was at said convention

As she was wandering through the halls of this vast library that she never knew about, Talina could have sworn she heard a noise. "Was that a skittering noise that I just heard?" the wannabe Ranger thought to herself as she tried to figure out what to do next. Though she seemed to be the only one in this library at the moment, the little bit of training she received warned her to be on her guard. Maybe the reason that Talina never came across this library on her various trips to Gondor was that it was somehow haunted? Talina shook her head as if to clear her mind of such a ridiculous idea, but reminded herself to keep on guard as she wandered the vast hallways in an attempt to find the tome the wizard had asked her to acquire. But why her? Why not someone else that was more familiar with this particular library? Finally managing to reach the end of the path she was travelling in, Talina had a decision to make; should she go right, left or turn back the way she had come?

@Lady of Shadow You turn left and stumble upon a dusty tome on the floor, you pick it up and discover it's a really strange book titled the Lost Tales. Congratulations you've found your first book. You are welcome to go RIGHT or LEFT.
