This little game was getting dangerous. People were glaring at him and waggling their fingers! To be fair, Skarphéðinn often received those kinds of looks but that was usually in battle when he had an axe and armor to defend himself. All he had now was a bowl of candy and an empty flask. He never meant for anything of this to happen. He hoped the angry elf lady would not be too cross with him. He was a little scared of the sock at this point. He was not sure how it was animate and the thought of angering the sorcerer behind it frightened the old dwarf.

Taking a break from the snacking, Amethyst had a closer look at the figures. What was this? A weaselly little dragon thing? Ugh! She hated dragons! Even if this one had a fancy moustache. She took a sweet from it in disgust and gave it to a little man in fancy armour. Then ate another couple of sweets to help get over it.

The Sock was getting very annoyed at all the attention Mushu was getting, which made Dimcairien all the more determined to give Mushu all the attention possible as she took a candy from the red-headed mermaid and gave it to the tiny dragon.

The sock wasn't keeping his side of the bargain. The Ice Queen was continuing to suffer while the sock was ranting about how the dragon wasn't really a dragon and it had a bad name and it was too silly. None of it made sense to the old dwarf. If the sock wasn't going to help the Ice Queen, he was an enemy now.
