1. Great taste or less filling? Taste! Nothing saying you can't have as many of the tasty thing as you want until you're full...
2. What Tolkien character would you vote for to be a Plaza admin? Nerdanel. She raised seven sons and put up with Fëanor, she'd get some shire done!

1. Great taste or less filling? Taste. Sushi, for example. Delicious, but doesn't always fill me up.
2. What Tolkien character would you vote for to be a Plaza admin? Galadriel. Always Galadriel. She's good at ruling. She makes wise decisions.
3. There are 106 miles to Chicago, you've got a full tank of gas and ____ in your pocketses? Probably hand sanitizer right now TBH.

1. Great taste or less filling? Taste! Whats the point of eating a lot of something you cant enjoy?
2. What Tolkien character would you vote for to be a Plaza admin? Oh that's a tricky one.. I feel its between Gandalf and Sauron. The first one would provide lots of fireworks, and the other would teach me how to achieve world domination.
3. There are 106 miles to Chicago, you've got a full tank of gas and ____ in your pocketses? Probably a lipstick.

Pocketknife and chapstick in the front left (and keys when they're not in the ignition), wallet in the back left, phone in the front right, incidentals in the back right. I'm worse than Sam and his pack of cooking gear.

2. What Tolkien character would you vote for to be a Plaza admin? Elrond. I imagine he'd be a "hands off the wheel/less is more" sort of admin, but completely dedicated behind the scenes to keep the Plaza a nice refuge for all travelers...whether you liked food or rest, or work, or story-telling, or singing, or just staring off blankly into space.

3. There are 106 miles to Chicago, you've got a full tank of gas and ____ in your pocketses? A bunch of pens...probably at least 4 of them.

3. There are 106 miles to Chicago, you've got a full tank of gas and ____ in your pocketses? Keys, wallet, insurance, passport, cellphone, tissues, hand sanitizer. If it's too warm for a coat, then depending on whether the pair of jeans I'm wearing actually has functioning pockets (curse you, women's clothing designers), some or all of these may be in a backpack next to me rather than strictly speaking in my pockets. If it's winter and I'm wearing a coat, they will just be in the pockets.

haha, excellent. The best part about the pun is that when I read the question the first five times, I kept trying to figure out why we were talking about types of filling. So.. Pun not entirely intended? XD

If the Plaza were a dessert, what type of dessert would it be? I would say it's a subtropical desert, with all the candles and the flaming red eyes around we don't get much moisture and with the varied climates represented by the various Plaza memebers... oh wait dessert!

If the Plaza were a dessert, what type of dessert would it be? Chocolate fudge - dizzying and rich with an aftertaste and sticky bits that just won't leave you alone long after you're done!
Create a line of deodorant or perfume based off of a Tolkien character. If you would like to smell of fireworks and old books and not let anyone pass by you without their stopping to take in the scents, then you might want Gandalf the Grey!

If the Plaza were a dessert, what type of dessert would it be? Something a little bit more grown-up, like tiramisu, since we're all so mature now.
Create a line of deodorant or perfume based off of a Tolkien character. Breath of Arda, by Manwë
If you had a theme song, what would it be? It could be Minas Tirith by Howard Shore (RotK Soundtrack). The slow, ominous start, then the battle of conflicting moods, is a good metaphor for my life so far, and the epic and triumphant place the song goes to by the end would be a good trajectory to follow.

Absolutely a trifle. The light but enduring Jelly layer of the elves. The rich, solid cream of the dwarves. Men are the Chocolate, sweet, but they melt like the mortals they are. The fruit layer of the Ents. A light sprinkling of Hobbits. Stud with Istari throughout.

If the Plaza were a dessert, what type of dessert would it be? Cupcakes. No particular reason, except they happen to be my favorite type of dessert. Because when you have a sister who is a baker and does wonderful custom cupcake recipes like...cinnamon toast crunch cupcakes, hot chocolate cupcakes and Dr. Pepper cupcakes, you become a cupcake junkie.

Create a line of deodorant or perfume based off of a Tolkien character. I seem to recall Boromir's wig hair color being changed in the films, to more closely represent Faramir's strawberry blonde hair. So, a Brothers of Gondor perfume and hair care products line of strawberry oils and scents.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? Hmm, should I go with my favorite song to listen to, or a theme song should represent an overview or moment in time? I'll let you decide which this is...

If the Plaza were a dessert, what type of dessert would it be? A cake where the icing is actually crack and you get horribly addicted and can't stop eating but you have to or else you might die, but you know you'll order another one later when your body recovers even just the slightest bit.

Thank you, Barrow-Wight! Ok, here's some new ones:

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? (Or yesterday if your day only just started)
2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go?
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see?

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? (Or yesterday if your day only just started) After a hearty writing of posts, my list of posts-to-write has gone down to zero. :smiley15:
2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go? Eh, not sure I'd even want to travel far, only to some local (Latvian) forests for orienteering, though the organisers had come up with how to run it in accordance with restrictions before those were lifted.
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see? Not sure what to think as I haven't really paid too much attention to it. Maybe should?

Went out to dinner at one of my favorite places with my aunt and uncle. First time going out with people and being able to sit in at a restaurant in a while.

2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go?
I was planning a trip to Glacier National Park before everything got shut down. So I would say there, if by day you mean a full 24 hours :D

3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see?
I certainly am going to watch it, I haven't been getting extremely high hopes, just from what the trend is in the industry. I'm not even sure what the details are, it's supposed to be set in Numenor and the 2nd Age if I'm not mistaken...but sounds like they'll have to invent a lot of characters for it.

Yesterday my one week old nephew had a successful open heart surgery. Pretty hard to top that :)

The Scottish Highlands

3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see?

I am somewhat pessimistic about it, but we'll see how it goes. There's no one thing I'm dying to see them try their hand at.

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? (Or yesterday if your day only just started) Yesterday, I took my dog for a walk just before it rained, and it started drizzling toward the end of our walk. It was a nice relief from some of the heat we've been having.
2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go? I dream regularly (at least once a month) about going back to Spain, specifically Barcelona. I also am dying to get back to Korea sometime in the next couple of years.
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see? I haven't paid much attention to its development. Basically, I just hope they don't Fredegar it up.

So yesterday (because it's only 9:30 am for me and I *just* finished having caffeine) was an exercise in heartbreak and frustration, but Plaza Discord kept my laughing between the tears, and the grand finale yesterday was this moment:

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? (Or yesterday if your day only just started) Yesterday my parents left after being here for a week (and I love them but) the sitting alone for a couple of hours after the kids went to sleep was soooo relaxing.
2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go? I would do a European pub crawl probably. I've never been outside the US and Canada, so I'd love to cross the pond.
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see? I'm pessimistic but honestly I haven't heard much about it. I heard they were making a sort of original story though, so I hope they minimize the fan service of adding known characters.

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? (Or yesterday if your day only just started) I finally managed to get a sub 10 minute mile yesterday after being sidelined with a knee injury (for context I’m marathon training for a race in October)
2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go? I’d love to go on a hiking trip in the Andes, or maybe a hiking trip around Iceland, basically hiking and camping
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see? I’m not confident whatsoever. The Hobbit trilogy showed how easy it can be to destroy Tolkien and turn it into something cheesy and bad. I know it’s different people involved but they’re working on a disadvantage right now.

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? (Or yesterday if your day only just started) Yesterday kinda sucked, but my favorite thing is that I got through most of my to-do list of stressful things I have to handle this week, so today should be more relaxing. I might start mucking around with Scrivener, which a friend recommended as useful for outlining and easy to restructure with.
2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go? If "you could travel anywhere in the world" means money is no object, I would take advantage of this clause in the hypothetical to finally visit the UK, which I've wanted to do for more than a decade. :smiley15:
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see? I'm deliberately keeping my expectations low (although that didn't really work for The Hobbit: "I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed"), but I would love to see a big budget onscreen version of Númenor. It would be weird for Númenor not to appear over the course of five seasons of Second Age content.

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? Today has been a real day off for me. I read, I napped, I gardened, I gamed. I've really needed the break and the weather has been lovely. I also finished a cross stitch.

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? (Or yesterday if your day only just started) Honestly, the discord is probably one of the best things in my life right now. It's the right mix of laughter and seriousness
2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go? I want to have a Plaza Meet with all of you lovely people!
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see? I'm apprehensive, but looking forward to it. Fall of Númenor would be cool to see.

2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go? I would do a world tour of trailrunning
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see? I'm excited for anything and everything to do with Númenor and also the faint, wild chance that I could get cast in this show.

1. What was your favourite thing you did today, or the best thing that happened to you today? (Or yesterday if your day only just started)I have not being doing a lot today as of yet so I'm going to go with having my breakfast; croissant and vanilla latte. (NOMNOM!) I was a not feeling well yesterday, so I'm going to have to stick with today. Nothing interesting though, as I'm not feeling great today either. :smiley9:
2. If the virus didn't exist and you could travel anywhere in the world for a holiday right now, where would you go? My whole family was having a big celebration for my mom's 60th in the Lake District in England this July, but yeah that had to be cancelled. I was really looking forward to it, I haven't seen most of them for a while as I am curreently living in US and they in Europe, oh and I love England.
3. What do you think about the upcoming Middle-earth series on Amazon? Is there any event or character you're hoping to see? I'm really excited as I love to watch anything Middle Earth related. I'm also worried it's going to be another Hobbit movie experience. :smiley12:

Next questions go to @Taethowen, for that great trick on Discord, and for wanting to go to Ireland and Norway to dig up family history. I also have family history to dig up in Ireland!

1. What's your favorite kind of chicken? (Chicken for eating, or if you're a weirdo like me who *raises* chickens, favorite breed. Or both!)

2. Have you ever had a near-fae experience? (Like back in November when I was driving to a NaNo Thing and the wind was doing weird swirly things in the road and I *swear* I almost got sucked into a fae portal. Kinda regretting missing out on the pandemic now. :smiley9:)

3. Should @Thalionwen forgive Taethowen for touching Orco (@Dwarrow Elf) in a completely non-romantic way? (relevant posts: Number 1, Number 2) (Yes, I know I'm going to get eaten alive for this question.)

(Also shout-out to @Bïfrøst without whom I could not have pulled off the Discord Trick in the first place :smiley17:)

@Dwim Nice! I found out a couple years ago that I apparently have some first cousins in Ireland. My paternal grandmother apparently had a baby out-of-wedlock before she emigrated to the US. I have no way to contact any of them though, because I'm pretty much estranged from my dad's side of the family now. >_>

1. What's your favorite kind of chicken? (Chicken for eating, or if you're a weirdo like me who *raises* chickens, favorite breed. Or both!) Cook em up any kind of way and I will eat it, love chicken.
2. Have you ever had a near-fae experience? Hmm not that I remember, I mean I had seen plenty of dustdevils, but never thought they were a fae-portal..
3. Should @Thalionwen forgive Taethowen for touching Orco (@Dwarrow Elf) in a completely non-romantic way? Hell no, burn Rohan down in retribution! Be glad she didn't force feed you your own hand, I would have..

1. What's your favorite kind of chicken? Rubber chickens

2. Have you ever had a near-fae experience? Can't say that I have

3. Should @Thalionwen forgive @Taethowen for touching Orco (@Dwarrow Elf) in a completely non-romantic way? I think acceptable forgiveness is if Tae gets Thali into the Royal Wedding.

1. What's your favorite kind of chicken? (Chicken for eating, or if you're a weirdo like me who *raises* chickens, favorite breed. Or both!) I mean, I do a lot of grilled chicken wraps and/or chicken caesar salads?

2. Have you ever had a near-fae experience? Don't think so. Although I have walked through mountain landscapes in the middle of nowhere that definitely looked like they could be straight out of a fantasy novel, if that counts.

3. Should @Thalionwen forgive Taethowen for touching Orco (@Dwarrow Elf) in a completely non-romantic way? Yes, of course. Jealousy is not a healthy component of a relationship. :smiley9:

1. What's your favorite kind of chicken? Plump and juicy!
2. Have you ever had a near-fae experience? I thought I did as a child when the sky turned a weird green-purple, but then all that happened was rain. If rain is a fae experience then I appreciate them but it's not exciting.
3. Should @Thalionwen forgive Taethowen for touching Orco (@Dwarrow Elf) in a completely non-romantic way? These tags going off over and over from copy/paste would irritate me so much....but to answer your question, she should, but the answer is stil NEVER because DRAMA is the order of the day!

@KingODuckingham If one simply copy/pastes the text, the tagging function *doesn't* go with it. ;)
