The fell beasts now had a taste for elf, so luckily for Akrag, they did not pursue him. He was safe behind his rock. He leaned up against it and puffed and panted, catching his breath after that frightful panic. He decided he would no longer come to Minas Morgul. Only bad things had happened to him there recently.

As he leant against the rock, it started to slide slowly. The orc turned around with confusion. He quickly scuttled out of the way as Beneath a Rock, the dirt began crumbling away and a hole appeared. "What's this now?" he enquired. The hole continued to open, and it looked almost as big as a cave down there. Akrag squinted his eyes, to try and see through the dark.

"Aha! There you are!" he yelled. For in the dark, there were Elenhir and Landy, huddled around One Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits. This must have either been cult-like activity, or they were just hungry. But either way they clearly hadn't wanted to be found.

Beneath a rock there was a small scratchy picture which could, if you looked at it upside-down, maybe look a little like Nessila. The answer was obvious - of course the crazy lady would pick the pink tricycle! All of this meant she rose up in great excitement, ready to rush out, buy a large net and try to capture the thief IN THE ACT OF CYCLING .... now where would she go?

The name was an accurate description. There was, indeed, plenty of ash at The Cloud of Ash. It would be difficult to find a thief in all of this. It was hard to see, as well, and Gwai tripped on something large and solid. Looking closer, she found it was One Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits. What on Middle Earth would anyone want with that? she wondered. She wondered about quite a few things around here, though. Was this something Narv would steal? She wouldn't put it past him, although it did seem there would be other things easier to steal.

Finally feeling sane again, Zarâm left the pub and began to head towards The Cloud of Ash. Her ankle no longer felt like it was about to fall off. "I never want to see that pile of snakes again," she muttered under her breath. The dusty environment of the cloud would be an ideal hiding spot to hide the One George. But who be crazy enough to steal such an item? Only Thalionwen would have such guts to swipe such an item so soon after her arrival in the Black Lands.

"When the kill come, and the screams rage. Shake it off, shake it off, shake it off" Speaking of rage, this day was getting bad. He couldn't find Alma anywhere, he even checked Under a Rock because it had been that sort of stupidly bad day. Of course she wasn't there. But there was something interesting there. A map that had an "X" marked over a Barrel Full of Hobbits. Who on earth would leave this here? Under a random rock in the middle of a desert plateau? That was was a special kind of weird. He took the map, naturally, and replaced it with a caricature portrait of Nessila. That would throw off whoever put the map there, and would serve them right. Why do something so ridiculous? An equally good question was what the... here was he supposed to do with a map that led to a bunch of hobbits stuffed in a barrel?

As Akrag investigated further, he found that it wasn't just Elenhir and Landy Beneath A Rock. There were others cramped in there too. They were all in on this. It was true that One Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits was enough to feed a few people. It was hard to see in the darkness of the hole, but it looked like Nerwen and Frost were gnawing on the flesh and bones. There was clearly no social distancing going on in that hole.

He pushed the rock back over the top of them and sat on it, so that they were trapped inside. They would be stuck in there until the thief-police came to arrest them, and Akrag would have glory once again.

Inside the Cloud of Ash, Nerwen coughed and spluttered as she tried to figure out who and what she was looking for. The Cloud seemed like a great place to hide something in her opinion, she couldn't see anything, she could only smell ash, she didn't know where she was going or where she had been! Perhaps on this occasion, Frost had hidden a pink tricycle...that seemed quite on brand to the dwarfette. Nerwen started to feel around in the haze, hoping she wouldn't touch something sticky or icky.

“Find the foe you hate the most and go, Further down the road and now you loathe” as the sing lyrics passed his lips, Frost pondered their greater meaning and their applicability to his current situation. Clearing Thali has become a nightmare, one he couldn’t seem to wake up from. The longer it went on, the angrier he became. He needed to punch something (or someone, he wasn’t overly picky). The map that led to the Barrel Full of Hobbits ended in a standoff between himself and Gwai that only ended because at that exact moment a dust storm kicked up and Frost was able to camouflage himself well enough in the ensuing chaos to escape. That was the second time he’d escaped the Rohir, there might not be a third. What was she doing here anyway? Looking for Thali too? Trying to bring her back to Rohan? Scouting for a potential invasion? The reasons were too vast and varied for Frost to determine what was going on. Right now he needed to talk to Thali, who he knew well enough to know she would be hiding Under a Rock.

Aha! Ducky had enlisted the help of the temporary library assistant, Volgavia, and between the two of them they had managed to pin down the book Ducky had been looking for. Take that, Towers of No Return! He was never returning this book now after all the trouble it took to acquire!

Perhaps that was the best theory of all for how the towers got their name; who would willingly give back something so precious, that one bought with great pain? Now, to read up on One Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits. Ducky was still sure that the secrets contained in this book were worth the search, but he could no longer remember why, after such a long time. Maybe reading would refresh his memory.

Of course. The answer came to her in a flash. What sort of person would even want a pink tricycle (apart from Nessila) except a former Dark Lord? A former Dark Lord and current Elf. The Elven love of pink was flowing out from Sil's long robes ... or was that blood? Errr - let's not go there. Anyway, she hid beneath a rock, hoping the cyclist would come by, for her net was ready.

She was getting very close to finding the thief, Zarâm knew it. Naturally the One Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits had disappeared. It made a delightful snack and she knew that Sil had been the one to swipe it and go hide beneath a rock while she enjoyed the delicious snack. Zarâm was a little annoyed as she would greatly enjoy that snack as well. Perhaps if she found the thief in time, there would be some leftovers that she could enjoy.

It was still confusing who would want to steal one of these Barrel's Full of Hobbits. What use could it be? Gwai wasn't sure, but just in case it was valuable, she decided to take it with her, rolling it along the road in front of her. It was still hard to see in front her, being inside the Cloud of Ash, but the going was getting a bit easier as she hummed a jaunty tune, hoping to stumble over the pub sooner rather than later. Hopefully it would no longer be infested by snakes. Spiders, lizards, Minions--she'd take anything over snakes.

Akrag sat there, banging his knuckles on the rock as he waited for the Thief Police. Finally they came with swords waving in the air, and when they saw the orc sitting there, they began yelling at him accusing him of having stolen a pink tricycle. Akrag was quick to correct them that he had not stolen anything, and in fact he had a bunch of thieves (including Nerwen & Frost) held captive Beneath A Rock. He also informed them that they had stolen a barrel full of hobbits. But perhaps a tricycle had been in that dark pit too and Akrag had simply not noticed it. He helped the police shift the rock to one side then pointed at the four thieves hidden in the dark. "That's them!" he said with an accomplished snarl. "Get down there, go see if they've got the tricycle too!"

Apparently they had managed to narrow the pool of suspects, items and hiding places. Nerwen still thought that the Cloud of Ash seemed an appropriate place to hide something but may be her other guesses had been a little off. Frost, after all, was a highly innocent individual. Nerwen stroked her beard. "I think it was Sil" she said out loud, inhaling a quantity of ash and coughing hard until her eyes watered. She sat down to take a break. I bet she stole that really nice Barrel Full of Hobbits didn't she. The thieving elf!

Ducky had finally finished what he need to do in the Towers of No Return, and he was plotting. He wanted to leave this place without returning the book about One Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits. But he had heard that Gwai had set some guards around the place in order to prevent precisely such an eventuality. He would have to be careful if he wanted to get out without having his duck feathers singed right off. This was Mordor after all, they didn't show mercy toward thieves. He had even heard they set up these things called Thief Hunts in order to catch those foolhardy enough to steal. Well, Ducky was foolhardy, nobody had ever accused him otherwise. Here went nothing!

Once again, her hunch was off. Perhaps it was Sil hiding in the the shadows under that rock. It was easy to not see people in the darkness. Zarâm crept up towards the shadows, hoping to catch the thief unawares and take the One Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits for herself. Thievery wasn't nice if everyone kept it to themselves. She hoped she'd catch the thief this time as there was nothing more she wanted than to have a nice tasty hobbit snack.

It was harder work than it looked, pushing A Large Barrel Full Of Hobbits Gwai paused for a minute Beneath a Rock, trying to catch her breath. Surely she was tired from the exertion through an ash cloud, and had nothing to do with the rather copious amount of wine, ale, and other beverages of varying tastiness she had consumed over the last several hours. The more she thought about it, the more she decided drinking was clearly the way out of this predicament, as well. Perhaps Sil had some ideas where to find a drink with the pub current closed for snake infestations.

"Find the foe you hate the most and go, further down the road and now you loathe" Who was the foe that Frost hated the most? To be honest he didn't hate anyone here in Mordor. Despite everyone being a swirling vortex of mistrust, greed, and selfishness, Frost could not bring himself to hate any of them. To hate them would be to hate himself, and as he had learned recently, he was far too pretty to hate. So what was he going to do about the current situation? What was the current situation. He'd had such a damn roller coaster of a few days he wasn't really sure what day it actually was. He had been fighting with Gwai. Or had he been working with her? Was she coming to Mordor too? There were suddenly a lot of Rohir in the Black Lands these days. He like that though. They were all different kinds of fascinating. Mordor was fascinating enough on it's own though and it liked to remind Frost of that. Someone had slipped him a note, asking him to meet them at the Towers of No Return but he couldn't figure out why, or who. The hand writing was bad, spidery and scratchy with smudges and smears everywhere. IT looked like it had come crawling out of that Giant Barrel of Hobbits, whatever that hell that actually meant.

Sil rode past, not on a pink tricycle, but a large horse ... the net was no match for it, but Lirimaer gamely set off after her, hoping to find something to knock her out with, before she dragged her off to be crucified interrogated for stealing. Where was the girl headed? She stopped in a pub, shops belonging to the local butcher, the tailor, the barber and even the ironmonger. Something was up, and it was up in the Towers of No Return ...

Oh they were so incredibly close, Nerwen could almost smell it. On a whim, Nerwen deciding to try looking Beneath a Rock, for the Pink Tricycle. Being Mordor it was, of course, a very large probably volcanic piece of rock, however she was a dwarf and dwarves were designed to get along with rocks. Perhaps this is where that sneaky Gwai had stashed it!

Akrag was wrong about the party under the rock. Turned out the party had been authorised by the higher ups and nothing in that pit, including the One Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits was stolen. He also had a feeling that the Thief Police would still think he was guilty of stealing something. So while they continued to talk to Nerwen, Sil and company in the pit, he decided it would be a good time to make himself scarce and get away. He needed to find somewhere to hide, and the closest place he knew of were the Towers of No Return.

Ducky had run into a problem. Literally, he had broken into a sprint in his haste to get out of the Towers of of No Return. He had discovered in his attempt to liberate this book from the clutches of the shelves and walls that this place had a guardian: Frost. And he was a scary fellow. Ducky had not been prepared for a fight. He was about as well prepared as One Giant Barrel Full of Hobbits would be, if they were rolling around trying to fight a minion. Or even one hobbit, perhaps named Dodo Proudfoot. Ducky was about as good a fighter as that hobbit would be. Yes.

Lirimaer searched high and low for the dastardly Sil, but no one would give up the evil one's position, since clearly they were glad to be rid of the awful shame of the pink tricycle from the best-forgotten history of Mordor. She sat down to have a good think, because it was clear that ... actually, it wasn't clear at all. She choked and her eyes watered. The cloud of ash was on the move - no doubt hiding the nefarious thief's activities as she had suspected some time ago.

As luck would have it, under the rock was not the correct hiding place, at least, Zarâm hadn't discovered any sneaky thief hiding out there at the moment. She spat on the floor in disgust as she continued to hunt for where the treacherous Sil had made off to with the Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits. Another place the creature might dare to hide with such a treasure was within the cloud of ash, so Zarâm made her way over to the dusty environment, though she was certain such dust would do a number on the tastiness of the hobbits. But, thieves weren't known for being clever.

"Fear is but a fleeting thought you have" So it was Nerwen that sent him the note? Frost was confused. Up until this point they hadn't actually had any interactions. How did she know who he was? He did he know who she was? How does anybody know anybody? Can we even know ourselves? Okay maybe it was time to stop drinking Elf Bloods before a run. It leads to some really weird tangents. Anyway, Frost made half way to the Towers of No Return when he was hit by a Cloud of Ash that knocked him in the next day. There was no time travel here, just plain old, run of the mill unconsciousness. That was alright though. This time he hadn't woken up next to a Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits covered in honey torn out pages of a book. Now that was a weird morning!

Gwai hurriedly left the rock, and immediately headed toward the Towers of No Return. That seemed an exceedingly good place to stash the barrel, since who in their right mind would look there? Right mind being the operative question, as she was the one who was voluntarily heading that direction. Gwai sighed. She used to have no other problems than showing up at the market to mind her store, keeping her cav uniform clean, and making sure the horse was fed. Now she was stashing barrels full of hobbits in Mordor. My, how times had changed. She immediately forgot her problems regarding morality when she tripped over a Pink Tricycle which had been carelessly left in the middle of the path. She mentally cursed whoever left it there. Was it Frost? It seemed the sort of thing a man who would steal apples from children would do.

DING DING DING!

The thief has been caught!! @Dwim has successfully apprehended that axe-wielding thief Nerwen in her hiding place in the Towers of No Return, where she had absconded with the Huge Barrel Full of Hobbits. Dwim, you are now a Minion Third Rank Hunter! In addition to your second rank abilities, you will now not be affected by any traps and, should you stumble on one, you may redirect it to the player of your choice.

As always in Mordor, thievery is rife, and it's time to set out after one again... a new culprit is abroad, the traps have been reset, Thief Hunt Round Six, commence!

Why do I even play this game Moriel? Is it for fun? Is it for the points I get from posting? Is it from sheer desperation, a mind-numbing sense of habit and duty? Or is it because of the lure of the One George? I'm not even a minion, it's not like I have the Barad-dur looming over my shoulder, forcing me to post. I'm not afraid of the Eye. It's ridiculous that the winner becomes more likely to win, it ought to be the opposite, there ought to be some sort of rebound mechanic built into the game. This is an exercise in futility.

"Rebound mechanics are designed for those who are not as good at the game to get more enjoyment out of it and/or to feel more competent," said Akrag the orc to Ducky. "If you would like the winner to be less likely to win again as the competition progresses, your best bet would be to start hunting more skilfully, rather than exercising your mouth. Moriel could attest to that!"

Besides all that, Akrag had been accusing Nerwen of the crime all round long, Second Rank Hunter advantages or not.

The orc had recently returned from the Towers of No Return, and was rather pleased with himself again for solving another crime. But now there was a new matter at hand. The report was out that the Hauberk of Angmar had been stolen from Minas Morgûl. Akrag sprung into action once more, heading towards the fortress to investigate.

And the rich just keep getting richer...should Gwai try to sabotage Dwim, or try to learn? She laughed as she headed toward On the Rocks. Sabotage, of course. Silly question. It was time for a drink first, however. Priorities, and all that. Unfortunately, while sabotage was fully acceptable in these parts, there were also many more thieves, and another was immediately on the loose. Word on the street was the One Ring was missing, and the whole area was in an uproar about it. Gwai was excited. If she could find the thief of the One Ring, she would finally show up, well, pretty much everyone. Right after a drink, of course.

The Search for Grobby

It all started when it was Frost's turn to take Grobby for the weekend. They had spent the entire with their mother, learning how to dissect and dismember bodies and Frost was eager to show them his work down in Dhâd Bûrz. It was going to be bring your lizardbaby to work day and he was going to teach Grobby how to make mashed potatoes and hamburger. The day had started off so well! Frost managed to introduce Grobby to Elenhir without either of them screaming at each other about balrog wings! He was so proud of his Grobby. But then something happened. He looked away for just a second, Grobby was trying to sweep the floor with a broom three times his size and Frost thought he could look away to make sure all his knives were all in order. When he looked back though, little Grobby was gone!

Frost had never felt so panicked. Grobby had a a propensity for running off and hurting themselves, and the absolute worse place to be was the Black Pits. He combed the entirety of his kitchen and dining room and found nothing, not so much as a creepy giggle for a shadowy corner. Where was his lizardbaby? They loved going to the Newbie Spawning Pool, he should check there. Grobby liked to try and eat some of the rocks that they found there. Yes, that's where they had gone! Frost just prayed Grobby didn't find a Lava Snake on the way and decide to pet it.

@Frostbite, within the Dhâd Bûrz you have stumbled upon the Covered Pit of Snakes! Here the thief has left a variety of poisonous and non-poisonous snakes to attack whoever enters. You are bitten and must RP your way out of the situation! You may not guess until the next turn.

@Dwim, within Minas Morgûl you have stumbled upon the Fell Beast's Lair! Fortunately for you, you may redirect this trap to whomever you wish, and are unaffected by it yourself.

[ Redirecting trap to Gwai. ]

So much had happened recently that Akrag forgot all about the Fell Beasts lair at Minas Morgul. It was only recently that he had been there and stumbled into that trap! He almost fell for it again, which would have been disastrous, considering he didn't have a Rotting Leg O’ Las with him this time to distract them with. But he did manage to come up with a cunning plan to get past instead. Rumour had it that Gwai was plotting to sabotage his thief hunting efforts. It was a great idea, it's just that Akrag wasn't meant to find out about it. He decided the only way to deal with this was to sabotage her back. "Hey Beasts!" Akrag yelled. "Look, there's Gwai! You hate Gwai and you like to eat her!" The beasts agreed and took off suddenly in pursuit of their next meal.

Meanwhile, Akrag scurried past and made his way into the fortress to investigate things. Dwim greeted the orc at the gate and warned him not to go in there. Apparently it was cleaning day and any minions in the fortress were being forced to scrub the blood and muck off the walls and floors. That did not sound fun. But Moriel had a price on her head for prior thefts, and Akrag was determind to find her and claim the prize. It just meant he'd have to sneak in and be extra careful, because he certainly did not want to get ordered to do any cleaning.

Did places move around here? One minute Gwai was on her way to the pub, and the next, she had fallen into what could only be described as the lair of a fell beast at Minas Morgul. Clearly, there was some dark magic afoot here. Or, and more probable, Gwai had drunk to much and wandered in the wrong direction. Either way, the result was the same.

There was precedent for Rohirrim to dispatch these creatures. While logically she realized that, she hadn't thought she would actually encounter one of these creatures, and unfortunately logic went out the window when confronted by extremely large teeth, with drool dripping down it's jaws. And were its's eyes glowing red? No, Gwai decided, that was just her imagination. Still, though.

Fortunately she traveled nowhere without her sword, but she did not draw it as she did not want to provoke it. As the creature approached her, figuratively licking its' chops, Gwai stooped briefly and grabbed some rocks. She started throwing the rocks at the Fell Beast, aiming for it's non red eyes. "Get out of here!" she shouted, throwing some more rocks. She'd rather not begin fighting the creature, as it was large, angry, and hungry looking. But Gwai was small, angry, and hungry. She started backing away slowly. She was, after all, in it's territory. Perhaps it had babies nearby. Or perhaps it was just naturally grumpy. At this point, Gwai could empathize with the grumpiness. Either way, Gwai kept throwing rocks as she backed away. The Fell Beast did not pursue, making Gwai suspect it had eaten recently. It likely was not the rocks. Finally, having put what she felt was enough distance between them, she turned and fled, resolving once again not to leave the safety and comfort of the pub.

What's that, was someone talking? Nah, it couldn't have been, must have been the wind. It sure sounded like a whole bunch of hot air, anyway. Such winds typically did blow across the plains around the Barad-dur. Perhaps it had been Elenhir roasting someone for suggesting something about balrogs? Perhaps someone had gotten into Írimë’s Wine Stash? Perhaps Ducky was about to be arrested for stealing books from the Tower? Who could say?

The Search for Grobby

Someone was going to die. Very likely several someones. Frost was now certain that Grobby had not wandered off, but in fact had been taken by someone. Who would take Grobby? Very few people knew about their existence, and even fewer could stand the sight of their adorably ugly visage. However, the real issue at hand right now was not Grobby and who took them, it was the snake pit that Frost had fallen into. Who puts a snake pit in the Black Pits!? That's redundant overkill. He tried to climb out without upsetting too many of the snakes, but luck, bad luck of course, was on his side. A black snake with yellow and red bands coiled and bit him. The pain was phenomenal. Frost had endured all sorts of wounds over his long years but this was the first time a snake had managed to bite him. He brought out one of his knives and sliced the snake in two then pulled the snake's severed head off of him. He threw the corpse to the other snakes who seemed grateful for the meal and staggered back over the edge of the pit. He couldn't tell if the snake was venomous or he was just exhausted. His strength was ebbing rapidly. He rolled away from the pit and wobbled to his feet, leaning heavily on the wall. A quick breather then he'd be back on his feet. He needed to find Grobby. If something happened to his lizardchild, Frost was going to kill every single living and nonliving thing in Mordor.

Yet again a thief had been caught, and the same thief hunter had now caught someone twice! Zarâm was curious why on earth Nerwen would have any interest in the pink tricycle. What anyone would want something with such a horrifying colour was beyond her black mind. And why would a stubby dwarf need a tricycle in the first place? But, she was absolutely certain that was the missing item and trampled about Minas Morgal looking for the atrocious tricycle.

The thief HAS been found!
The item HAS been found!
The hiding place has NOT been found!

@Dwim, within Minas Morgûl you have stumbled upon the Fell Beast's Lair! Fortunately for you, you may redirect this trap to whomever you wish, and are unaffected by it yourself.

@Dimcairien Luiniel, within Minas Morgûl you have stumbled upon the Fell Beast's Lair! The thief has been clever enough to abduct a fellbeast and you waste a great deal of time running from the hungry, angry creature. You must RP your way out of the situation and may not guess until the next turn.

@Frostbite and @Gwai you may now hunt again! Unless Dwim gives you his redirect...

Having been robbed of her Barrel Full of Hobbits, Nerwen was in a rather foul mood. The hobbits would have made great trading material on the black market and now she would have to start over. She headed to Minas Morgul to see what was what, where she fully expected to find Elenhir in possession of Cat O' Nine tails.

[ Redirecting trap to Nerwen ]

Instead of getting roped in to do assist in the deep clean of Minas Morgul, Akrag decided to go somewhere else to look for the missing Rotting Leg O’ Las. It would have been good if he'd been able to find it in the fortress, because those pesky fell beasts were back at their lair again after disturbing Gwai. Oh well, he'd just need to lure them away again. "Hey beasts!" the orc yelled again. "You know who you also don't like, but really want to eat? Nerwen!"

Akrag bolted from that place in the direction of On The Rocks. There were all sorts of terrible characters in there, and one of them may even know where the rotting leg had been stashed. Maybe he'd even find Dwim, prime suspect no. 1, in there. Or Moriel, who was prime suspect no. 2.

It turned out Ducky was NOT in fact being dragged off to the dark tower; they were just going to stretch him out right here On the Rocks and start the torture right away. He'd had no idea Elenhir was so protective of the Tower's book collection, but as he was being pulled along Ducky reflected that perhaps, in retrospect, he should have known that would be likely. Even Irime's Wine Stash wouldn't have been enough to dull the pain this session would induce, but Ducky didn't even have a drop to drink. An unfortunate situation all around, he thought.

"Ah, fredeger!" Zarâm shouted when she discovered that she had happened upon none other than a Fell Beast's Lair! She had no sooner entered Minas Morgûl when the rabid creature began to run at her. Zarâm turned heads over heels and quickly ran out of the building as fast as her bow legs could take her. The near attack took her breath away and she stood on the steps of Minas Morgûl for several minutes trying to regain her senses and her ability to thief hunt. Hopefully the thief wouldn't be caught before she was ready to hunt again.

The Search for Grobby

The most logical place for Grobby to be, aside from the Pits or his mother's Hospital, was On the Rocks, the pub where the three of them had come together and become a weird sort of family. The journey between the Pits and the Pub was not a long one, but it was still a space filled with all sorts of things that might want to eat a tiny kobold child. Frost was beside himself with panic. Was this what it was like to be a father? Was it normal to worry all the time about your little ones? Mordor likely dampened some of the paternal instinct, he did let his child play with knives after all, but Grobby was missing and Frost was going to kill anyone he needed to find out where they were.
He had already killed people for Grobby, what was a few dozen more bodies? Dwim was about though, and that bounding Hobbit seemed to be up in everyone's business. Maybe it was time Frost properly introduced himself to the Hobbit. Yes, yes he may in fact use this meeting as an excuse to thwack him over the head with a Rotting-Leg-O'-Las and force some information out of him but that was because Frost's child was missing and he was not about to take chances.

Gwai tripped over a Rotting-Leg-O'Las, but caught herself before she hit the ground, and kept running. She wouldn't be one of those people who tripped, scrambled on the ground, and got murdered by a serial killer (or fell beast, in this particular situation.) She kept running all the way back to On the Rocks, where she knew it was safe. Granted, "safe" was a relative term around here, but she was getting much more used to it. Even liking it, perhaps? Time would tell. This seemed a good question to pose to Elenhir. Hopefully he would be at the pub, as she didn't plan on moving for a while or three drinks, whichever came first.

The Search for Grobby

There hard been no luck with Dwim. The hobbit had either been resilient enough to outlast Frost (highly unlikely given Frost’s motivations) or he genuinely knew nothing of where his kobold child was. And he was supposed to be on his way to being a master thief hunter! Ha! Frost let the Hobbit go with a stern warning and and admonition to alert him immediately should Grobby’s little snout show up. Frost currently was on his way to Barad-dûr, the dark tower itself to see what information he could find. There was a connective thread between the Pits and the Tower, perhaps Grobby had wandered? The little child was notoriously curious. Anything flashy or interesting could have them running off down a passage full of giant spiders at a full tilt. Frost remembered the time he and Thali showed Grobby the Pink Tricycle. Grobby has later broken in, stolen it, and rode it around in the pub. He missed his lizard child fiercely.

All Akrag found at On The Rocks was a dart throwing competition with hobbits as the targets. It didn't even look like Dwim was one of the hobbits who'd been captured. The orc had a pretty good idea of what he looked like. He even had a sketch of him in his thief-hunting book. And his face was not there. The crafty halfling was still at large. Maybe Moriel was there, but Akrag had been banned from that pub before so he didn't want to stick around looking for too long. He made a quick getaway and decided to move on to Dhâd Bûrz. After all, there would be the perfect place to hide the Rotting Leg O' Las. But aside from that, he wondered if Frost was still getting around that place on his pink tricycle.
