I'm not the biggest loremaster regarding everybody's favorite pretty-sparklies, but I thought this treatise was well thought-out and convincing.

That was great. I was hoping the author would make the point that millennia of being burned in the fires of the world would have given Maedhros' Silmaril a red hue but they seem to have skipped that.
