Found some Plaza Family Trees!

In case this gets lost in the discord chat, I just found the Plaza family tree site. Let the family reunions begin! (especially if you're like me and forgot who you were related to) :P

Hehe, yes, that was the product of a great deal of work in (mostly) 2009 and a bit later. I made a concerted effort to synthesize and condense various older family trees I found and put together a more or less authoritative portrait of the Plaza families as they existed at that (relatively late) stage. IIRC it got linked to in the OPs of several family threads, but by the end of 2011 it was no longer being regularly updated.

I still have a bunch of files in my Plaza images folder of older family trees I used as source material, as well as a few others created around the same time. Here's an Imgur album of everything I've got: https://imgur.com/a/AAGqjbE

Lots of good memories tied up in the families. They were a huge part of me my Plaza experience and, more generally, finding a close friend group for the first time. It wasn't an exaggeration to call the Dagda-Dunami clan (and some of our relations) my second family for real during my high-school-age years. <3

So looks like I had 3 sets of parents on the plaza. Standard.

I actually also came across a family tree I had made (and clearly on something tragic like MS Paint) on my old photobucket account over the weekend [edit: I would like to clarify that I came across it, rather than made it, it over the weekend ]. I was too ashamed of the fact it looked like it had been made by a 4 year old to share it yesterday when I found it, but when I'm back from work this evening I'll dig it up. I'm afraid it is a bit out of date, for example it obviously predates my knowing you, EK.

I remember Aisil's house being pretty much my favourite thing.

I'd love to see another older Dunami tree! I know I was a relative latecomer to the family, so it's always nice to see stuff from its history. Which was hard once Houses were gone, and even harder now that we're dependent on incomplete Wayback Machine records.

(I made my trees in MS Paint too. The severity of the compression artifacts is almost impressive. )

The topic of adoption came up in the Plaza Discord, so I offered to revive the old Adoption Centre, if anyone is interest or just wants to follow the links to the older editions for nostalgia's sake.

I totally forgot I was adopted by ladymoon with Lottie as my sister. Makes me remember how much I love and miss those guys! I've never seen Dagda on the end of my name before, which is a spinout.

I'm also on the tree with my older username Scary Tunnelly, married to Vinca, which makes me realise we adopted a son I completely forgot about.

Brilliant I was only thinking last night about Plaza family and was hoping someone would have copies of all the trees. I'd mostly forgotten who I was related too and even forgot I had a child I'm such a bad parent :roll:

@Dwim, IIRC TribalPages requires everyone to have a surname, so I extrapolated a fair bit. I haven't talked with loony or Lottie in a long time, though I did get to meet up with Lottie IRL a couple times back in the day. I hope they might show up here at some point.

Anyone remember when people changed their usernames to animal names but replaced the first letter of the actual name with the first letter of their plaza name?
I was Jinx Dunami for a while and my animal name was Jiraffe

Aww I spotted myself under my old name (Larien Falassion) on the Alarion tree. Sadly, I spent little time in the family shenanigans after my first year or so of the Plaza, if I recall correctly.

@Rior Laegiel : I assume you’re my grandma? My NPC Artanis is Aisil’s kid. I know the Laegiel tree did not get very big as it was an IC family.

Sorry, it’s hard to keep track of who is a ellon and who is an elleth. Melwen is Artanis great-aunt (or uncle?) I can recall that much.

I don't think I ever was part of an official Family tree, but I know that Aisil Dagda was my mother and Balfur my Father, When they got divorced I got a plus mommy (Queen Nerwen) and that's about all I can remember, of yeah I was married to Merwe Turante an Elf living in Khazad-Dûm :-)

Oh hey, there I am on that last one! Yep, Ana and Arod were my parents. So I'm part of a few of the trees. I also later married Arod after they got divorced, because, you know, why not marry your own fake adopted step-dad?
I know I had some other adopted family, too, though I have no idea who.

Hmm, so I'd be sixth generation here on the Dunami side (daughter of Goldmoon daughter of Scea), but I later adopted Aisil (Nim) and Enoden, which throws things off a bit.
