Mara Jade, Empire
Mara fell out of her battle meditation in surprise as she felt the deaths of two of her squadmates. She felt anger boil through her veins, and engaged her fighter to take out some of the rebel scum. She thumbed her comm and opened a channel to the last remaining fighter, besides herself. "Mara Jade back in action, Juno. Let's kill these rebel idiots."

There was a lot of cursing involved as the discovered the couldn't shoot the fighter they wanted to. Honest to goodness how was that fighter even still up it had flown through not one but TWO of their own tie fighters. "That does it I'm gonna kill something or someone." She hissed as a fighter came right into her line of fire. "Lets show these Empirical fools how this is done! Keep on that cruiser Grey One!"

Lieutenant Angel Nister, Rho Squadron - Empire
She had gotten the call. She was on the battle field. Her palms were a bit sweaty but that was good. She was pumped - the juices flowing , so to speak. A photo of Tyr hung from a chain on the console. Yeah, they were mean Empire fighters, but they were human after all. She saw Juno get into position for a shot at the Rebel's. Two of the scum were causing the Empire fighters, grief.
'Roger that Juno! I am going to shoot a few rounds into their main ship. Give 'em hell!"

“Mara Jade!” Juno yelled ineffectually. It was too late. Mara’s ship had been caught in the fire of one of the bolder rebels and her guns were disabled. Mara could now either only protect the body of the Empire ship - using her own vessel as a shield - or make the choice some others had and ram her own ship into that of a rebel’s. Juno gritted her teeth in frustration and began firing a close range volley at the rebel mothership. Angel was doing the same.
“Hell it is, Angel!”

@FROM HERE TO THERE You've missed some damage to the empire ship. Dwim hit it and it's damage has stayed the same at least once (I haven't checked the last page)

Well that was another TIE fighter out of the way if they could just keep hammering on this Cruiser they had a chance they needed to bring it down, and hopefully there were no more TIE fighters waiting to launch. "Come on Grey One! @Dwimmerlaik Lets keep hammering this giant heap of scrap metal! We might just manage it if we keep going!" Somehow the much smaller force had managed to keep up with the Empire if not out do them. It was pretty impressive really.

But he was quick to focus back on the job at hand. He was being fired at again. He made a corkscrew type manoeuvre to evade, then made a long, sweeping loop to try and shake the enemy on his tail. It seemed to work, and he was again offered a short amount of time to fire at the enemy's cruiser. He briefly wondered to himself about who might be inside that enemy ship. Was it hosting an important leader? Someone like Tarkin? If they managed to bring the thing down, he certainly hoped there would be someone important to the Empire on there.

So far they had managed to do a pretty decent job hopefully the rebels could hold on if they could at least keep pace with the imperial forces then they would have a chance after all they had already taken down not one but three of the Empires TIE fighters and so far it didn't look like the Emprial fighters were going to manage to close the gap in terms of numbers of smaller fighters taken down.

Mel continued to fire on the cruiser. The enemy fighters seemed to be engaged in their own battles, so he could focus all his energy ahead. The only challenge he had was to pace the fire from his cannons to not overheat them. Everything fibre of his being was telling him to continue firing, but he kept his cool and continued to fire in bursts. He still had one missile up to fire, but he decided to keep that for a more vital moment.

Perhaps if the battle still went badly... well, then it would be better to fly straight into the heart of the rebel ship than to face Lord Vader’s anger.
She gunned down into the rebel ship, praying for reinforcements.

She saw vengence hitchhiking its way across the galaxy and there was nothing she could do to stop it. Sighing deeply she positioned her torpedo and shot down at the Rebel's main ship. Somebody was going to be taking a beating, when all was said and done. She prayed Lord Vader wasn't the one doing the beating.
