@Ercassie please tell me that we'll get Addhor's reaction to being the designated dog sitter soon? By soon, I mean end of the month (no pressure

Aw thanks Nessa! I'm having fun with Hathaldir and it is a TRAVESTY to even suggest removing them from library property! maybe it will catch up with him..
@Lailyn I am tempted to suggest you make the manuscripts cursed or something, so as soon as they are taken out of the Library a vengeful spirit of a Librarian haunts you until you return them where they belong... Actually, there's an idea... Might need to put this one in the pot and see what comes out in the end

I love this idea, Nessa! This is all being plotted like 1 step at a time so there is room for an evil librarian to join in...
Hathaldir is a dirty hypocrite arresting a thief and then bribing someone to steal for him!
@Nessa Saelind, feel free to godmode Gorthain escorting Nessa to the room if you want to. I claim no ownership of this character and anyone can use him as they see fit. Edit: err Garthain, whatever his name is.

I thought I responded to this, at least in my head I thought I did, and now I'm looking at this with Gandalf "I have no memory of this" mindsetLailyn wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 8:33 pm I love this idea, Nessa! Lail, if you like the Evil Librarian ghost or Evil Librarian not ghost, but some sort of thing in human form unleashed when someone tries to sneak out rare and valuable manuscripts from a library thing let me know. I'd love to write that creepy story

Nessa - any entity/being/whatever would be totally fine with me, seriously, do whatever you want if you do want to do get involved! I have no idea how this will work but I'm happy to weave it in. :) the question is, will it haunt Falaneth, Hathaldir or both..? ooh and can the evil library entity have a spy-crow sidekick please? if so I will put an ominous crow in my next post and if you change your mind I can go take that in another direction.
no rush on your post, please take your time.
I tried to give both of you at least a little something to work with again.
no rush on your post, please take your time.
@Lailyn the uncanny Librarian entity in the form of a woman of undetermined age will be making her debut in Godnor soon. By soon I mean as soon as I finish and edit the thing I'm writing for Windy's story competition.
I'm halfway done. Birbs, especially spy-crow sidekicks are more than welcome
I'll have to think of a good curse thing for those manuscripts.

if you want to plot at all feel free to DM me on discord anytime!
I know I owe folks responses to posts all over the Kingdom...
And outside Gondor come to think of it.
I'm sorry for being much late
the posts are in various states of completion, but this week just hasn't been the best for writing (researching on the other hand...), but next week they will be a barrage of responses coming promise. I haven't forgotten you!

It was initially a part of my first post for the new Rangers RPG, @Nessa Saelind, but I cut it out for time/too long. Too funny to completely forget, I stowed it in the letters thread as a compromise.Nessa Saelind wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 8:44 pm @Ercassie please tell me that we'll get Addhor's reaction to being the designated dog sitter soon? I am sure the expected chaos will feature when I start my new day in the marketplace post. First customer, already waiting, dog. Workshop in anarchy. Note basically explains as much as would a tag line “Nal was here’.
Luckily his father is used to his antics by now and has a ranger-mission length of time to think up a suitable punishment. If the dog doesn’t distract him ..

@Ercassie - I hope he will one day. Addhor might be the type of person who is more likely to show his feelings through actions rather than words, and Nal knows that his father loves him, but it is always good to say and hear those words being said. Maybe one day *keeps fingers crossed*
Side note, it's awesome to see more stories in Windy's Short Story thread!
I was so happy reading your what you wrote @Lirimaer and @Turin Ringhûn. The stories are really good.

Truth to tell, @Nessa Saelind, I only saw it in the new posts feed and thought it was in CoLP ... got a real shock when I saw the white city
It was a very inspiring picture though!
The Wood-elves lingered in the twilight of our Sun and Moon, but loved best the stars.
@Lirimaer
not the most usual place for short story competitions I agree, but I'm glad you stumbled on the thread all the same and that you wrote something. I enjoyed reading about the mischievous Duke's son and the grumpy, but kind fisherman. The ending was chef's kiss.

Ha, it wasn't until I had made it in Gondor that I thought of CoLP. The reason I picked Gondor was cause the setting looked like Gondor to me, so well yea :P *shrugs* But I am so grateful you guys joined in! <3
To be honest, when I saw it, thought it was an attempt to resurrect Naith’s old ‘Tower of Tales’ thread, that we had back in the day. So there is some sort of precedent for having that sort of activity in Gondor.

Ha! I never actually went into that thread, though I do recognise the name. Guess he influenced me without knowing it :P
Well the next instalment can be in Gondor, or in another Kingdom - maybe it could be a roaming story thread *thinking face* Or in CoLP? I loved that the thread came into being and although it took me 75 years to write something
I enjoyed it very much

It is simply that, given the general population are supposed to be unaware of the real reason that the infamous ladies’ man is meeting with a certain married woman and regaling her with thrilling tales of his exploits, much less offering to pay for her dinner ... you can see where presumptuous minds have privately headed.
A few raised eyebrows but no derogatory whispers you need fret over, you have my word.

@Ercassie - no apology needed, this was golden!
I did write a salty paragraph about propriety and odd looks they attracted because onlookers were not subtle
I was debating if I should tone it down, because I though it was too salty for Nessa, but I'm going to keep it now
because the 7 gossip circles of Minas Tirith need to be mentioned and commented upon
Thank you for opening the door and keeping it open

Yes, yes, help in the kitchen is needed!
Even an experience healer can run out of steam when stranded in the kitchen.
~ I will be a healer, and love all things that grow and are not barren ~
I think it goes without saying, but everyone working in the pub/kitchen is free to order Ystr about and make him as nervous and uncomfortable as possible (within reason obviously).
"We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood. Our eyes have yet to open... Fear the Old Blood..."
Well, then ladies expect to see some quick and simple Croatian potato recipes coming to the Pub near you soon

Hey I guess we'll see! I can confirm I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen with him.
I'd say do it Pele but they'd probably melt fast, poor things...Gondor seems pretty safe relatively speaking. There's been what, 1 stabbing? er and I guess Relic is up to no good..

Hello everyone. I'm sure you've noticed I've made some sporadic appearances over the last couple weeks. Now that life for me has calmed down quite a bit, and things are returning to normal for me and my family, I'm working on actually getting back into this. I did miss RPing with everyone.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think I ever apologized for dropping off the face of the earth last year. I'm sorry. Losing my job and then the stupidity of Covid really screwed things up in trying to earn a living to be able to pay bills. But now that I'm working again and am able to pay bills (ugh adulting sucks), things are returning to normal.
Don't know how often I'll be posting, we'll just have to take things as they come for the moment. But looking forward to continuing the story telling with my Plaza Wife Nessa Saelind (@A Good Wife) in the Free RP, and in the HoH at the moment

A bit of housekeeping from me here, or giving updates on the post that I need to write. I know all of you are extremely kind and patient and there's no need to rush anything
however, I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you folks and that there's something cooking for you in the slow-cooker that is my brain
so on with it:
To all the wonderful folks in The Winter Is Come Inn - I'm waiting on @Tharmáras to clear his Imladris writing that he needs to do there, so we can chat and sort some details out before I start writing about potatoes again
P.S. #TeamTurtle member no need to rush here
take your time, this can wait.
@Lailyn , @Winddancer - I should write my post for The Tower Guard story sometime in the following week, I'm trying to figure out how Nessa will hug poor Thea with her cuffs on and some other things I need to work out.
Lail - I need to hit you up on Discord when my brain isn't foggy to ask you about some details of the scholar's manuscripts that were taken out of the Library. I've finally managed to figure out an interesting plot that will fit well into yours and allow me to introduce my Librarian. *hugs*
@Ta'leus Shieldsong - your scholar from Dol Amroth will also make an appearance in my Librarian post
, I just have to figure out how to fit her in, but I'll figure it out, I am determined.
If I owe anyone else any posts in Gondor (I believe I sorted the Houses of Healing for the moment), or you need me for something else let me know
In addition to the above-mentioned things I'm working on a post for the Imladris Cruise that is somewhat connected with the Library post, so that should be interesting
