The Spring Cookery Contest

Within the Second Circle, at the Marketplace, there is a hustle and bustle: one of the largest halls has been cleared; despite the warmth of the day, a large fire pit and a stone oven have been laid and the delicious smells of baking fill the air.
It is the Spring Cookery Contest! To celebrate the end of Winter, the Stewards have announced that this will be a chance for the folk of Gondor - and beyond - to make the best of their fresh spring produce and make a dish worthy of celebrating.
All and sundry are invited: to participate by making a dish, or to taste and share in the communal meal!
Bowls and jugs and trays full of fresh ingredients are set out ready and waiting for the contestants, but they’re also able to bring some of their produce from home…
The ingredients include:
~ Flour ~ Milk ~ Eggs ~ Fresh herbs ~ Potatoes ~ Cream ~ Chicken ~ Lamb ~ Salmon ~ Garlic ~ Butter ~ Rabbit ~ Lettuce ~ Pork ribs~ Bacon ~ Beef sides ~ Turnips ~ Peas ~ Celery ~ Mint ~ Carrots ~ Leeks ~ Onions ~ Tomatoes ~ Blueberries ~ Cherries ~ Strawberries ~ Raspberries ~ Gooseberries ~ Rhubarb ~ Oils ~ Fruit juice ~ Honeycomb ~ White and red wines ~ Brandy
If you wish to be a contestant, please come up and give your name to Mistress Agnes, and the name of your dish (unless you haven’t thought of it yet!) You may begin mingling, or selecting your ingredients, as you wish.
Drinks are also being served while things get going: a light sparkling apple and mint cordial, milk, or water. The wine and brandy is really meant for cooking, but someone really nervous might be able to sneak some…
