As usual, your kingdoms have been transmogrified into surprise themes, based on your votes!
In order to switch to these ranks, you need to go to 'Change Kingdom' and select your chosen theme! These themes are available in a list below the normal kingdoms as a special Bonus Holiday Kingdom.

Just like last year, you may move freely between kingdoms as much as you want, and you may move freely between ranks!
There are no point thresholds assigned to Halloween ranks!
To get a Halloween rank, change your kingdom to Halloween! in the User Control Panel, then go to Switch Ranks.
If you can't see the ranks, you may need to clear your cookies or/and cache


In addition to general celebrations, feel free to use this thread for chatting, planning and coordinating activities and games based around the Halloween themes. As always, there is no need to ask anyone's permission to create a new activity- just get in there and have fun!!

I'm glad one of my suggestions ended up being chosen! Though I still love Capt. Jack, I chose Angelica because I dressed up as her for Halloween in 2011 (still have the costume, though it may not fit me anymore since it's size 12-14 and I'm more of a 18-20 now). The only differences are that I used my own hair, since I couldn't find a dark colored wig to resemble Angelica's and I had to add a belt to hold my sword, since the one that came with the costume would have torn off (since it has a velcro enclosure on the back).

P.S. I'll be playing both Angelica and Miranda Spano, since she's a character I created on this site when Mordor did the PotC theme last and I wasn't familiar enough with the character of my rank.

Careful there, Naelia has a pet dragon (or whatever he actually is, since he's quite small) by the name of Drinch that will come after you if his mistress is in any way threatened! And since the Pirates theme isn't taking off (yet), I switched to Spike, since who doesn't love Spike? A good friend of mine even got a framed picture of him or something (I'll have to ask her next time I see her).

Just a short message, I won't be doing much as I got a sore right shoulder due to helping my dad getting up. I have fysio after the weekend, but till then I am painkilling meds. I am unable to type much in one go. It is pretty painful and on top I feel very miserable mentally. I guess it is the whole situation I am in and the caretaking responsibility I have towards my dad. I'll be around for short replies, but big posts have to wait. Sorry.

Silky and Adulas: Thanks, nah it is just fear to loose my father, now nearly twenty years after my mother. His Alzheimer is severe and questions rise if he can still be operated for cancer as long it is not too late in case of spreading out. My shoulder was today much better and below headheight I can do most moves again with both arms. Got fysio on Monday. I used quite a paper handkerchiefs for wet eyes and nose. First time since many years. Death is not near yet, but the final fase is close I feel. He is 81 now and I hoped he lived to 95 at least, but that will not happen anymore. Bit sad Halloween this year for me. I take it one day at the time.

Alright, Halloween is over but costume removal is self-service for a little bit :)

If you go to the kingdom change spot, you'll be able to go back to the regular Kingdoms (the halloween kingdom/ranks are gone). My amazing Halloween coding & algorithm technology won't move back to your old kingdoms though, so if you want to hang around with the halloween ranks you're free to do that for a while. At some point soon once I have some time I'll just mass-kingdom-change any stragglers, so beware - at that point you'll get summarily punted to some non-halloween kingdom not of your choosing. scary stuff

Glad one of my suggestions made it in this year (even if I didn't stick with the theme for very long). Sorry I wasn't able to play around as much this year (probably due to a lack of a Halloween Thief Hunt, but perhaps @Moriel was too busy, so maybe next year), but I did give a few games a try. Maybe next year I'll be a little more active during Halloween season.

That's why you choose a kingdom, so that you don't have to look at that bloody candle! Wouldn't that be a interesting Halloween theme? I think candles became "Dead Soul" one year, but we've never done a bloody one (at least not to my knowledge). It's also why I switch back before that happens!
