Greetings to all. I was a forum member way back when, in the 200X days, and had the same user name. I was, at the time, pretty active in the cavalry and a few other RPs. I'm not sure how heavily these hallowed halls are populated, but it's pretty cool to be back here after XX years. I THINK I joined Imladris as a newborn correctly. Please feel free to yell at me if I'm breaking protocol here. It's definitely interesting to be back. . .

@Aikári Good grief! I certainly didn't expect to see names so familiar right off the bat! I have great memories of those days as well my old friend. Yes the IMA and . . . my memory fails me for names of threads after more than 15 years. Dinner parties, blacksmith shops, etc. I've been well, more or less as life bumps us up and down. Busy, etc... And you? How are you these days?

Perlindeion: Sure, take your time to orient yourself. It has been more than fifteen years and I neither remember in what kind of threads there all were. But I got in archive where I participated in. I am fine, lot has happened over the years and recently lost my dad. I got my Little Corner in the Gondolin forum. I am trying to find a job after a long time. I haven't roleplayed in years and these days I write mostly tales, poems and essays. I was at the time active in the IMA, the Adab Nestad and the Tingdain.

Frost: I guess so, OP says timeline is TA3015. So if nothing else is mentioned, as I haven't done, it is this date. I thought we had to keep to it? There is not specified all times can be used in this pub. So anyone in, is there at the same time, or perhaps on a different winterday in TA3015. Clear this up your question?

@Legolas as per your question in the old OOC thread (which I have now requested of the admins to close or something, given that we have this current OOC thread here, which has been in use for several years now .. )

.. anyway, the RP which @Rillewen and I are writing in the imladris thread is currently a private meeting of two friends in a private residence. So I don't know that Legolas would be randomly in someone's home library, if that makes sense.

That being said, what they are discussing .. a potential rescue party .. is something that some of our characters will be setting out on at some later point, once they've decided to go. When that happens Tirindo will be looking for/asking for volunteers etc. So if you still want to join in later, that would be the time to do so. We're not quite ready yet is the thing. Tirindo is all about the planning and preparing. These old Noldor are not hasty I'm afraid. Does that make sense ?


With regard to the separate other RP that you and I were involved in, with Legolas, Tirindo and others doing some Archery in the same thread, .. I'm not exactly sure if that is still happening. I was waiting on @Aranadhel to post there next. But he's not logged on in a while now.

The Archery rp started in the first place because Aranadhel wanted a way for his character, Ospion, to run into/reunite with my character, Ospiel, who is his sister. So naturally I'd prefer to keep him involved. But I guess we can just assume he's still watching in the meantime, and at least let the Archery practice itself continue. Since his character was watching his sister compete, rather than compete himself.

Yeh, sorry about the rescue party one. It's slowly plodding along lol.

But didn't you have a thought, some while ago, about taking @Legolas to fourth age Gondor ? I'm fairly sure you could easily rp him somewhere like the market or a pub there and meet people who would interact with him.

There's actually a masked midwinter ball happening there at the moment, so you could have him.show up there? I believe Arwen is already in attendance there and Aragorn is expected to show up soon. You'd just have to find them in their masked disguise ! Plenty of chance to mingle and dance and have refreshments in the meantime.

Aranadhel has not been online since the end of september last year, that is eight months ago. I haven't been in contact for a long while. Usually checking offline, if there is a response, it is pretty tempting to login and response something back. Or least that is what I do.

Ennora: Only with Frost in the Adab Gelir pub which is a private meeting between Quennar and an elf Keijo from the icy north. It is quite fun to us. But others I don't have currently. I try to get into swing of it again. Something new could be started? I don't have much on hand really.

Yeh, I do have some Ranger rps going on but they're either about to finish, or else they are so extremely complicated in the build up and history by this point that a newcomer suddenly joining in would not really work.

The other Elf rps I have are all waiting on @Fuin Elda I think, who also has been inactive again for a while now.

Fuin must have had a window she could post till recently. The trollshaw race stopped too as 30 april has passed by and was the end.

I am not really in a position to add any more shiny new RPGs to my 'to do' list, until I finish few existing ones up first, barring a very occasional and very much one-off flashback type post. But actually I am technically already involved in an existing Rp in the Mirkwood area/thread with @Rillewen and @Fuin Elda .. which seems to have stalled.

Perhaps there is a way to combine your new rpg with that existing rpg so that your activity gets more participants and ours gets to continue/get to an actual completion ? We had some nassty hungry spiders from Mirkwood attacking local men folk living nearby. Is there any way @Legolas that your adventure could somehow meld with that so that we all come together ? Just a thought.

Seeing how my Cottage thread was getting crowded and untidy , I thought I would bring the discussion here. It looks like Aig opened the PO in Imladris in 2020. Having an elf open a new thread would be more appropriate. But until an elf steps up, why not use the existing thread? If a new thread is created, at some point, the banner will always be available to whoever wishes to use it.

What do you think?

Hi @Drifa, circling the post offices was fun (though Rivvy began it) and it is good to see what works and what needs tweaking. I'm not sure if we need any action anywhere and leave it to others to decide. For myself, the present Imladris banner (a Hebrew religious scroll) offends me - it is not a major issue, and I would let it go with a grumble, but seeing as you have made a nice new banner I would push for using it instead: whether by replacing on the OP or starting a new post office I don't mind.

But admins: if we are sorting out post offices, is there any chance I could get my hot little hands on the Rohan post office?

O yes! Thank you very much Arnyn. Tbh, I'm much happier with the old banner gone, and the new one is excellent. (I guess it is just a shame that none of our present crop of Elves can read, let alone write, and so the Imladris post office will remain little used.)

Chrys: The Eldar are extremely environmental friendly in use of everything, so they don't grab paper as much the other peoples do. They use telepathy instead. (I have no idea, each person has an own work method I think and communicate in different ways).
