Nice, Eldrith! You are never too old to rock n' roll!
I am constantly on the lookout for new Christmas music. Here is a song by Rob Halford, who has released some excellent tracks in recent years, and adds his own twist to some traditional Christmas songs as well.

In the spirit of Christmas music, the

Ooo, jazz.
I was totally into the A Charlie Brown Christmas album by the American jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi this holiday season. I veered away from jazz over the years and was glad to get back into it. The album is not just a cartoon theme; it is really wonderful to listen to.

@Drífa When I don't know what I want to listen to at Christmas time, I put on A Charlie Brown Christmas--it never goes wrong. A perfect album.

Hi,
@Aerlinn! Welcome back! Lovely to see you!
Yes, it is getting harder to find original Christmas music. We did discover some, though, so we had a different listening experience this year. I never really listened to the whole Charlie Brown album before (just the animated TV special).

I am glad we did!
Love the horns!
I should have read the hint in the last "Who, What, or Where" thread, but didn't scroll far enough up to catch it, alas.

Oh gosh, any heartbreaking songs about doing the dishes? I would settle for a kitchen cleaning ring!

So, when my son Éomer passed, I started building a playlist of songs that made me think of him. Some are positive, some sad, some mournful, etc. But the most recent one I've really been vibing to on repeat is this upbeat alt-pop song with some synth that just scratches my brain
just right.

maybe it's because I am old(ish) or strange, but I cannot listen to music or anything too exciting when working on stuff, like I then tend to sing along or jump and dance....not focusing properly
so I listen to Erik Satie piano pieces atm.

I grew up listening to a lot of 80's New Wave and Pop music cause of my birth mom and that's always been one of my favorites.

I just discovered a wonderful rendition of the Song of Durin - check out Song of Durin (Complete edition) by Calamavi De Profundis. I think I have a new appreciation for this poem now.

Nice find,
@Tobold and a good rendition.
I am still a fan of Colin John Rudd's renditions of Tolkien's songs and poems.

It is spring time, so I mostly have live webcams open, bird nests, you know... That goes for background music these days.
