Before the game continues, I wish to remind you of the OP and the Sources that are listed there for this game. And secondly, to pose a question.

Firstly, I have searched all the sources listed in the OP and could not find any mention of the White Gems of Lasgalen. The word Lasgalen, as in Eryn Lasgalen, the Wood of Greenleaves (Appendix B to The Lord of the Rings), is found in the sources.
I did find mention of the White Gems of Lasgalen in the adaptation of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, which, as a source, is not listed in the OP.

So, here is my question to you. Would you also like to see adaptations of Tolkien's works (movies, games, etc.) used in the Who, What, or Where (In The Name of Arda) Am I sections of this game as sources? If yes, should there be a list of these new Sources posted in the OP?
And, should the person who gets to choose the who, what, or where have to indicate at the top of the post which source media they are using?
For example:
OP Sources:
Who am I?
or
Adaptations of Tolkien's works Sources:
Who am I?

I would like to hear what you all think. Thanks, folks.

@Drífa , that is 100% a mistake on my part. I cannot believe I let a piece of made up naming from those dang Hobbit movies infiltrate my brain. I jad forgotten that in the actual text it just refers to the Elf King having a fondness for white gems.

I personally think we should only use Tolkien's actual works and not adaptions.

Yep, me too. But since reading The Hobbit was longer ago than watching the movies, I could very well have made that same mistake!

Thanks for the responses. I, too, prefer the books. But it would be simple to start a new source category. There are a lot of whos, whats, and wheres in the movies and other adaptations—something to shake things up a bit.
Online fandoms usually include both Tolkien's original works and adaptations. It is easy to confuse them sometimes. :smooch:
