The roads were clearer now, and safer every day. After the war it was possible again to send word to people from far and away. The fires had burned down the old post office and in it's stead a new building had been raised, right next to the cavalry headquarters.
Through here all information seemed to flow. Letters to scholars in Minas Tirith came through here, and orders for pipe weed from the Shire, love letters, and long missives that held families together through different lands. At the same time Cavalry dispatches, reports and orders sent straight to cavalry members here or in the further eoreds, were brought to those they were addressed to by cavalry members especially assigned to that duty. Packages and letters could be delivered, and for those not able to write, couriers would listen to messages and bring them word by word to those who needed to hear them.
There are always two people on staff, Hengest a cavalry veteran and his wife Saehild. Both of them rule with utter discipline over a staff that consist of young, temporary assigned cavalry members and a group strong lads that can bring packages, deliver letters and most of the time remember all of the words you wanted them to say.
